World stock markets are falling massively. Do we have to worry. I opinion is that we have already fallen. So, now we have to get up.

What is your opinion?

I am watching....Dont look at the PF...We all have Losses...But it will recover....Try to Buy if you have money because we will not get this chance again.....

Either you cant say MarketW is correct or wrong, We all know it's really uncertain,,How we could say US stock market falling will not impact on ours?? May be we should buy smaller quantities,,we may be wrong,,because we may too early for even buying smaller quantities,,it's your buying power Very Happy

Below is how I saw the market some months back, the recent up swing was a good opportunity to exit. Still on the same mood of defensive allocation.

I am clearing even my long term counters and moving to defensive stocks. The whole world is gearing for a global slowdown and SL may not be immune to that. Current market valuations are not up for value for money.

How you read the market for 2011 second half and 2012?

So far I was correct on disposing my PF...

Since I post above post on 19/8 I have disposed another 50% of my PF, and confined my self only to some stocks which has sound support levels. There by saved a good deal of money.

Rich in cash I am wondering what to do now, to enter to buying again or waiting little more.
What do you guys/ gals think?

i have being in the stock market 1 year , so belive me im still 23 and stay home doing nothing other than this, so i asked my father to give me 2 million for shares trading , and he might give it to me ,who knws, lol

is it worth to stay on share market with 2.5 m and whithout doing a JOB,
if i can get a monthly profit around 70-80 K im happy , wht you experts say

slow to recover, bit worried. some more to clear in December.....well known facts ..circular says to clear the remaining 25 percent in December.. ... after that fast growth can be seen.. financials are good....

What the hell you are doing at home at the age of 23? still depending on parents, move your ass out of home and do some worthwhile work to the society.
It is difficult question to answer my friend, at your age I had started a computer center, BPO and IT software company and I had few people working for me; but still I do a job. Since I am still young I consider I have more to gain from interactions with others through the job. What ever you do just see what entrepreneurial skills you have to become a good investor, what other income you have generated on your own so far, etc.. . etc... that will guide you on your decision.

Beleave me 2.5million is a big money to start off with, why not try 10,000/- and built it? and put the balance on some other investments. I think in SL there are so many investment opportunities if you can identify.

I am not disputing your view, but at the current market Speculators Buy and Investors Sell. This is a very common cycle only at the end of it we could say who won.

I believe this is good exit opportunity with handy profit. I was having SFIN as a long term counter but disposed at the peak, most counters in my PF are slowly disposing. I am glad of this rally because I can dispose some of the loss making counters at smaller loss.

Only share that I will not dispose is CTEA, except that I am planing to dispose all. I don't think that its good time to keep even fundermentally good shares. By the looking at the behavior of CSE, feel we will reach the edge of the cliff very soon. The crap will drag down even the fundermentals.

I know you are interesting to do stock trading very well. But remeber this is not a permanent job. This is only an investment which is done to gain some additional salary. I'm younger than you but I'm trying to do my studies very well and get a good job in the business field in the future.

You cannot get a job at the age of 50. This is the best time to build up your life. Strong foundation is the base of a strong building. So, try to put the foundation for your life. Jobless man is neglected from the society. Be a valuable person to the world.

Job is not a risky thing but stock trading is risky. Sometimes experts lose their whole properties as of unexpected things in stock market. I heard a youth suicide himself because he lost all money of his dad(Sri Lanka). Life is not a share. It is the most valuable property of yours.

DON'T WAIT A MINUTE! START FINDING A JOB!

All the markets in the world tend to come down rather going up. Europe is not doing well. If not Germany there's no Europe union at all.
Uncle Sam also Sick big time. He will not be back to normal in many years to come. Both( Sam & Europe) are printing money faster than printing papers. China gives their hard earn money to Uncle Sam and Uncle Sam print the money and give back to China. This cycle continues.

However CSE does not normally react to global trends.
The major reasons for the CSE down turn and Global down turns are completely different (most of the times)

CSE can recover, this time force selling global stock market collapse all have come at the same time. .....Investors do not seem to show an interest when there is credit to clear....... Real recovery may be seen after December.

If all local investors can stay in the market positive trend can be achieved. Nothing can be done to prevent Global recession and to change the attitudes of foreign investments. CSE can perform well as the corporate earnings are good. Smile
