Dear Investors...

Today I placed an order with my broker for SMB.X (71,000 counters) @.70 around 9.00am.It has moved btw .80 & .70. & 1.6m in total.But when I check my account I saw that I haven't received anything.How could that happen??? Could you please clarify to me??

This is happen according to CSE opening price formula @ 9.30 am.
each day @ 9.30 am this formula is apply to all the securities. Opening price of any security is depend on the pre open order book.

How Opening price start : it is maximum no of shares execute price @ 9.30am.

All stocks are allocated on PRO RATA BASIS therefore your ORD could be executed or not depending the total number of orders at same price & the quantity of trade...!

(There was a posting about PRO RATA Allocation few months back Pls try to find the thread)

This is we call Open Auction Algorithm.
eg :
Pre open market BUY Orders for security XXX
Rs.14.20 - 2000 (cumulative buy total 2000)
Rs.14.00 - 1500 (cumulative buy total 3500)
Rs.13.60 - 2000 (cumulative buy total 5500)
Rs.13.30 - 1000 (cumulative buy total 6500)
Rs.13.00 - 100 (cumulative buy total 6600)
Rs.12.50 - 300 (cumulative buy total 6900)

Pre open market SELL Orders for security XXX
Rs.13.30 - 2000 (cumulative sell total 2000)
Rs.13.60 - 1000 (cumulative sell total 3000)
Rs.14.00 - 2000 (cumulative sell total 5000)
Rs.14.20 - 1000 (cumulative sell total 6000)
Rs.14.50 - 200 (cumulative sell total 6200)

Now how the formula apply,
at the price of Rs.13.30 can trade 2000 shares @ 9.30 am
at the price of Rs.13.60 can trade 3000 shares @ 9.30 am
at the price of Rs.14.00 can trade 3500 shares @ 9.30 am
at the price of Rs.14.20 can trade 2000 shares @ 9.30 am

So, maximum qty can trade at Rs.14.00 for 3500 shares at 9.30 am. Then Rs.14.00 be the open price.
If you look at Rs.14 area, cumulative buy qty 3500 & cumulative sell qty is 5000. but, only can trade 3500 shares, because total buy qty is 3500.

according to above, apply to you.
