Gonibilla theory should be related to # quantities & # of trades in addition to the price change...

If I had the authority I would have put price band on WAPO.. Even a child would know it's a manipulation.. Rolling Eyes

Sri Lankan stocks closed on a mixed note, Thursday amidst some profit taking and the wait and see attitude of investors due to uncertainty prevailing in some Middle East Countries as well as soaring oil prices, analysts said.

Retail investors dominated trading today and some interest was seen in the index heavy shares, as well as in Piramal Glass Ceylon and oil palm firms,brokers said. with retail investor interest seen
The All Share Price Index closed at 7,583.42, up 34.56 points while the Milanka Price Index of more liquid stocks closed at 7,176.06, down 5.07 points according to stock exchange provisional figures. . There were 110 gainers and 113 losers

Turnover was Rs. 2.4 billion and the share volume was 70.8 million. Piramal Glass Ceylon PLC was the highest contributor to the turnover with Rs.241.12 million. its share closed at Rs. 10.20 up 70 cents with 29.2 million shares changing hands. John Keells Holdings closed at Rs. 290.00, down 50 cents with over 678,000 shares traded making the second highest contribution of Rs. 197.9 million to the total turn over, with two crossings at Rs. 292.00 a stock broker said. Bukit Darah closed at 1,269.70, up Rs.2.20 and Good Hope closed at Rs. 1,287.00, up Rs.97.00 (BS)
