Yeah.

I saw some protest in front of PLC head Office in Borella. Only 30-40 people were there, and was very poorly organized. If they wanted to send a strong message to the management, my opinion is it was not a success.

As an investor I am against these type of union action. If a Company decides to go for an IPO and they are able to get some foreigners to the market, it is a positive for the long term potential of the CSE.

Trade union people who cannot understand such logic should not try to create problems once Central Bank has approved the IPO.

Yeah..Guys

I fully agree with you LONGTERM..its sad to see few JVPers who are trying to sabotage a good IPO..What kind of economic harm they are trying to do when PLC bieng a fundamentally sound company trying to absorb more foreing investment to the country at the right moment...When CSE is down the right thing is to canvass foreing investment. When that is done by PLC what is the logic behind asking to cancell the IPO... No doubt that IPO is fully subscribed..Even heard that foreign allotment is already fully...What are these foolish Union (its JVP) members doing....

Hi

PLC is a company that the owners (Peoples Bank) and its emploees can be proud of. PLC grant facilites around 5 Billion per month. It means though IPO is of Rs. 7 Billion, the amount is not even sufficinet for them to grant two months leasing. They have gone for this IPO not for cash requirement, but to fulfill the regulator (CBSL)'s requirement. Howcan a handful of Union memebrs influence the regulator. By listing the biggest leasing company its financial data will be available for public. Why on earth one oppose that?

Therfore dont get scared by the protestors , take your decsions evalutaing the data of the prospectus,

Only problem I see in this IPO is it is unbearable to this wounded market at the moment. But in long run this is a valuable company to have in CSE.
