I have bought 5000 PMB.R shares @ 2.00
Today price is 0.80

If I do not sell this shares, what is the procedure of converting them to PMB.N shares? What is the amount I have to pay. When do I have to pay. How & to where I should pay? Will I be informed about the amount I have to pay?

Please help me as I have no prior experience on purchasing rights issue shares from the market.

You have to pay Rs.15/- per share and if you are converting 5000 shares you have to pay Rs.75,000/-. Last date for payment is 02/11/2011 and you have to settle it to your broker. You will not be informed by the company, as they have already informed and you have bought rights from the secondary market, but your broker may inform you to settle depending on your relationship.

Thanks for the answer. If I do not manually pay, will it recovered by debiting my account? (using the credit)

If I sell @ current price (0.80) I'll make a loss of Rs 6,000/-.

Do you guys think if I buy the rights by paying 75,000/- (5000 @ 15/-) will I make a loss more than the current loss of Rs 6,000/-?

Please help.

if u convert ur total cost wud b 17 per share...2day PMB closed at 16.10...bt aftr da r8 issue share wil b diluted due 2 additional shares...calculating the share price aftr da r8 issue is a bit complex equation...

((m ×y) + (n ×x) ) ÷(m ×(x + y))
where x is the number of new shares issued for every y existing shares
m is the closing price on the last day the shares traded cum-rights and
n is the price of the new shares

bt i think it may fall below 15...even itz 15 ur lost wud b 10000....

thiz is my idea..im nt an expert machan.... if u hesitate plz ask ur broker alzo....

you are very correct,godak aya ana ganne rights trade karanna gihin thama,prashne thiyenne rights price eka bassoth hold karanna bari eka,so better not to touch rights fro trading purposes.
