Pals i faced a big problem today.
I am using directFN TWS
And i placed an order for *00000 SEMB W 16 at 0.20 (GTC) on the 27th October 2011. And i waited till the order filled . But it didnt. So to check , i placed another 100 share bid today morning. It filled in the morning it self.
So i questioned this from my broker "Asia Securities" . They said its an error with the software. But i am using the DFN latest version. So i asked my broker to cansell all my bids, so i can put them back. I had no option.
Now SEMB W16 went to 0.30 and 0.40. I feel like dead.

Has anybody experienced this?

Once I had put a buy order for ?30000 shares.Early in the morning 100 shares filled.But remainder filled after large number of transactions.

Better you didn't get them I guess! Wink

And there were only few trades at .40! If you really want seller is at .30 now?

yes i was expecting to buy at 0.20 (my bid) and sell at 0.30 .

DFN TWS. Capital trust.
Error is my order partially filled early in the morning.The remaining amount filled after large number transactions at the same price.

Error is my order partially filled early in the morning.The remaining amount filled after large number transactions at the same price.

It is not an error. at preopen, some times, a number of shares been been distributed to the bidders. this is happened. depends on the number of askers at that time, you may get 100, 200 or even 500. I often got lil amount of shares like that. but it doesn't guarantee that our bid is in the top. you may see the share is traded at same price even after you got 100 shares. not sure you got the point, it's a market behavior, not an error.

This can be happened to both sides, to buyers or sellers. As an example of today tradings:

share SEMB.X

pre-open , the first bulk distributed the all the top askers as below.

0.70 200 0.00 09:30:01 N
0.70 600 0.00 09:30:01 N
0.70 300 0.00 09:30:01 N
0.70 300 0.00 09:30:01 N
0.70 300 0.00 09:30:01 N
0.70 700 0.00 09:30:01 N
0.70 500 0.00 09:30:01 N
0.70 600 0.00 09:30:01 N
0.70 700 0.00 09:30:01 N
0.70 2,700 0.00 09:30:01 N
0.70 1,400 0.00 09:30:01 N
0.70 5,600 0.00 09:30:01 N
0.70 1,100 0.00 09:30:01 N
0.70 400 0.00 09:30:01 N
0.70 100 0.00 09:30:01 N

You can see the time @ 9.30.01 - the share is traded at 0.7 . At this time multiple sellers orders are distributed to the number of top askers at 0.70. I know this happened because today also one of my order book, 500 shares been sold at that time. after that there were number of transaction for same amount, but my order not get cleared. it get cleared later on.

To explain this, i am shearing my executed orders list
SELL SEMB.X0000 500 0.70 0.00 346.08 09:30:01
SELL SEMB.X0000 16,800 0.70 0.00 11,628.29 09:48:06

you can compare SEMB executed order book against my records if need. Smile

to make things simple, don't panic if you get sold / buy little amount at the early in the morning and seen the share is trading ta the same value and you didn't get order filled. Smile
