I recall couple of years or so ( maybe 2 or 3) , they declared a Rs 2 interim dividend sometime in Nov or dec. % wise a huge one. I do not know their profits for dec quarter, but if they are good there can be a Rs 1 dividend ( interim) again.

I do not know whether there is a dividend or not but this is just sharing what happened.

In 2011 and 2010 they have declared dividends on March. In 2009 they did it on Nov and in 2008 they declared in december.

when this went pass 15 there were huge buying orders at 15 and 15.3 but when the price came down, these orders vanished. did this go over 15 again? if not, I feel this is purely pump and dump

for a 1 ruppe dividant from 14.20 to 15.9 is unrealistic.

How do they (Collectors) do this (sudden collection)?
Instinctively or keeping a track of their (JINS) past performance as far as dividends announcements are concerned or inside knowledge (that something good around the corner)?

No.You all are wrong.They may be pushing up prices to level where they can give an announcement that SENIOR OFFICER HAS DONE A FRAUD.
Impact is Rs 1Bn.

Personally I am not investing in that particular group becoz of accountability (Best example is the announcement they gave on CSEC last thursday)
Actually I didnt get an information like that (Rs 1 Bn), But if we get information like that next few days ,I will not be surprised also.

I was undecided to choose between JINS or RICH and now I know which one to avoid.

Nothing to worry.. this is the second pump and dump within a week.. it was a false rally..

It was in the CSE announcement on 08th December. (I was trying to attach.. but could not). So it is confirm

Look guys, this could be a dividend. This could be a manipulation. We do not know yet.

However the below are for anyone info.

1) There were dividends given over the past years and they were high compared to JINS market price.
2) Unless you have studied and interest in JINS do not follow
3)Fundamental side: JINS Nav is over RS 7 and last year eps is Rs 2+. Also this ran to around RS 22 before and now has shed significantly. Fundamentals shares need to go up too. ( I do not know why this went up and came down yesterday . But ofcourse even if it is pushed to Rs 15-16 it still very much undervalued to sector.

4) Yes JINS, CSEC and CFVF all belong to same group. Mr Shaffter's group. There certainly seem to be a confidence issue with investors with these shares. JINS IPO price was was Rs 12 in 2008! Still trading at only 2-3 above.
5) As we know CFVF and CSEC detected a fraud ( we do not who did it yet, btw same thing happened to ACME and MGT some time ago). But also know CFVF once declared a massive dividend ( in 2010) around Rs 15 ( correct me if my number are wrong) and price hit the ceiling. Then there was a split I think. So with these issues it is know fact that the group declares good dividends
6) I recall Junior shafter's also buying 2Mil JINS shares around RS 15 in November.
7) In 2009 JINS had a registration issue with IBSL but it was quickly solved.



Here are the +ves and -ves.
I am just giving 2 sides of facts, the fundamental side and the other side to help to decide.

According to my knowledge it shows some interest technically as well.

JINS may be in the same group but it has a solid business.
It's price may be still undervalued but it has been giving out good dividends as well.
I don't know where on earth you got a 1B fraud thing. Your concern is valid though

I also donot know about that much of a fraud. That effects the CSEC and CFVF and not to JINS according to the announcement .

It is not a sudden interest about JINS. The fraud recorded against CFVF (160 M) not JINS. By the way all three companies are linked by directors and owners. In srilnaka there is not insurance company making losses. But do you believe that financial statement can hide the profits and losses as well. Specially in srilanka.
As per my knowledge JINS only listed 5% of stake in CSE. So they are more that profitable what they show. But Shafter's do not have good image in the business sectors like Mr. Jayawaradane, Perere etc has.
Behaviour of the JINS can change with in a day with strong balance sheet. But before that their managing director will make sure to collect more and more JINS. So..wait for that day. There is a hidden story behind Shafter's buying recently.

I am agreed with slstock.This group I dont have any trust.Bcoz they highly manipulate things.That is very unpredictable.That is why I said they have issues with the accountability.
They had a huge problem with JINS in 2009.That was sorted out in a very tricky way.People who knew real story will be very a few people.
These type of manipulation is not done by outsiders.

According to 30.06.2011 Accounts public holding is 36.64%.Then how can we say they have listed only 5%.It cannot be less than public holding %.Isn't it?
