In my online trading system, when I place a sell order the following appears at the bottom.

Could someone explain this?


*Protection price = 25% below the best ask price, if the ask price is unavailable protection price will be 10% below the last traded price

U cant put a buy order 25% below the current offer price.. If there's no offer price u cant put a buy order below 10% of the yesterday's closing price..

Does this apply to any online trading system? Or does it differ from system to system?

I am using BMS..

I think this 25% is a recently implemented one, ealier we had 50% mark as i could remember.. Not so sire though..
