Normal pattern last few years foreigners are selling in this holiday time and reenter new year. This time seems they realized the true value of undervalued shares

Dear friend,

They are trading and they don't hold shares for long time. You could see their trading on friday. They bought over half a billion.Today foreigners have sold over 0.8 billion. May be tomorrow they would buy shares worth more than one billion. That is how they trade. Anyway market is now going up every day and all are happy. We have noted that you are not in a happy mood when the market is moving up. Pl. do not expect to collect at ASI 5000 level or less. As I said on 20th Dec.some have already missed last chance to buy good shares(below PE Cool at lowest price. Now they are not happy when the market moving up coz they couldn't buy.

Nice one. So these foreign purchases and sales and these crossings are foreigners doing trading. Hah ha.
Check the price of these blue chip shares, their lowest values, the crossings. According to you they bought and sold and again bought and then sell at the same prices. Even then you have to lose the 2+% brokerage charges.
I wonder if these are really done by our big players to show some magic to the local people.

Both of you are right in one aspect, I suspect these transactions are engineered purposefully to swap the controlling interest.(politicians or high power persons involved)

er,

insidertrader,
You must understand it correctly. Foreing buying means not a single party no. There are many foreing buyers. Some may buy COMBN. share at Rs 100/-. Same time another foreinger may sell e COMBN at 100/- or even less.. There are many foreigne buyers no. So one can sell with a profit and another chap may be selling at a loss with another objective..It's like our HNWIs No. Now look one big player of SEMB who bought SEMBN at even Rs. 2.40-2.50level has sold at 1.70 during last few days.. This is the nature of this trade.

Dear mr Rajaram, please do not make outrageous claims and try to appear more foolish than you need to be. Foreign institutional investors do not trade at the CSE they invest. The contrast between trading and investing is stark, and it would only take a few minutes of reading for you to learn that.

Traders do not generally participate in illiquid markets and traders usually are not instituional investors. The current foreign selling is by one of the top 10 share holders of Commercial Bank. Let us hope that other top shareholders do not follow their example.

There is a power struggle in Banks... Commercial bank chairman is resign from 30th.. that why we can see current foreign selling on Commercial bank. .. Mr. D want to be a chairman of the Sampath Bank...

I am not worried whether top 10 are selling or last 10 are selling. Invetors when they have a good cap. gain and due to various other resons sell their stakes. That contributes to higher turnover as well. And they sellcoz there are buyers as well. Then one can argue why these large investors buy huge amount of shares.
They dont buy blindly and they also have plenty of reasons to buy.
Present chairman was there for a longer period and he is not the only person in the world to run this bank efficiently. A Turnaround would be much better and in most cases give better results.

My dear fellow gamblers, foreigners were net buyers on Thursday also. Why has no one commented about that? Did you miss it because there was a net outflow of Rs 155 million?

Don't let that worry you. Keep an eye on the CSE daily report. Every week you will be able to find at least one day when there has been a foreign inflow. Save that report on your PC and make start a new discussion here. Don't save the others daily reports.
