have a luk at UAL trade 100 shares dropped ASI, sale of SLTL also made the asi go down.
RCL 100 shares 5 rupees down.

SOme ppl here shout only whn SLTL increase index, bt they are silent n happy whn ASI is manipulated to let it go dwn.

there was no gud reason 4 mkt to go down, but some manipulators are tryin hard to make it worse.

without too much trouble one can conclude whether SLTL and others are being used to manipulate the index, downwards or otherwise by the simple act of keeping tabs on the volume. Often the observation is that larger quantities trade at the lower price while sadly only a small quantity trades at the higher price. Prompting many to conclude that the heavyweight shares are used to manipulate the index in an upward direction more often than towards the lower range. Those of you using the Direct FN software may use the 'volume by price' option to more easily track this.

There is nothing new in this. That is called market forces, buyers want to buy low while sellers want to sell high.
Sellers try to push up the market while buyers try to down the market.

I wish that was true but there is much more at stake here. When the ASI is green retailers are more likely to go chasing after high priced shares. When the index is green more new retailers are likely to enter the market. Both these makes it so much more easier for the players to distribute their holdings amongst the retail participants
