The accounts as at 31.12.2010 shows a whopping profits of 418 mio. for the 9 months period.
1)EPS= 1.77 for nine months
2)Performance in all its holdings are good.
3) Even with the share split by 10 the EPS seems okay taking into consideration the most of the revenue is coming from plantations which is doing excellently well.
4) So all who have shares hold on to them for 6 months or more for better returns.
5) Those who wish to join the band waggon, can place orders today into your respective systems ranging from 32-35 at least.
6) New comers please wait till you know what this company is all about.

As for me, I have bought quite a bit before DEc 2010 and hope to reap the benefits in June 2011.

but isn't it already fairly valued..??

annulized eps =2.36 .. PER = 32/2.36 = 13.5
for plantation sector 13.5 PER is not that undervalued as plantation has always low sector PER..
also it is very liquid plantation share unlike many other plantations..so increase may be very slow..

actually we can sort of say that they will make about 1Rs EPS next quarter, given the global demand for rubber & palm as well as tea(but to a much lesser degree).

Yeah, Thats true MONO, I was expecting a better payback, however, something is better than nothing. Shall wait for a better quarter. I cannot be jumping from one plantation to another.
I am not in a hurry.

Assuming a further Rs1 EPS in 4Q11, WATA's FY11E EPS is likely to be around Rs2.8 - At a share price of Rs32, this gives a FY11 PER of 11.4x for WATA.

FY12E will though be much more demanding, with wage hikes around the corner from April 2011, and commodity prices remaining as unpredictable as ever.

Although WATA does have positives in terms of its crop mix (tea, rubber and palm oil) and star FMCG division, and is thus able to command a slight premium to the broader plantation sector, at 11.4x FY11E earnings, it seems to be approaching fair fundamental value - plantations should rarely command double digit forward PERs given their inherent risks and uncertainties.

With the key growth driver for plantations being rubber prices, plantations with stronger exposure to rubber such as KGAL, KOTA, MAL and NAMU may offer superior risk adjusted returns to WATA (which has under 1mn kgs of rubber) from an investment perspective.

WATA's low absolute share price may however provide short term trading and momentum driven opportunities.

CF has been a good learner and listener through out his years it seems. But i agreed with you point on after dark comments as all of us have work to do on day time plus share trading.

According to .Mono divisional crop revenue analysis Rubber and Palm Oil has performed exceptionally well than Tea. So, Rubber concentrated companies Revenue and GP should be very much better such as the case of RICH maybe. I am impatiently waiting for their results

According to WATA Reports they turn around the Rubber sector and reduce the Loss on Tea Sector when we compare with the same period last year.

Kegal was made good profits on Rubber & Tea for the Quarter ended 31.12.2009 so if they also can perform like WATA then their profit will be very high

Also for the last financial year they paid a dividend of Rs 3/= so for this year we can expect much higher dividend which in turn bring benefit to Rich

I am not sure about how RICH charge management fees on plantations but if it is based on turnover, then RICH will have huge income from management fees as weel
