62 BLUE Subdivision - Page 3 Empty BLUE AFTER SUB-DIVISION 14 for 1 Sat Jan 28, 2012 12:02 pm

Stock Trader

I bought 10,000 shares @ 3/60 =Rs.36,000/- after the announcement of 14 for 1.
After the sub-division, one share value should be /-25 cents.(10,000 X 14 = 140,000 shares.) Minimum value of the share in the market should be Rs.1/-
When I asked from the broker,He told me some other story regarding BLUE is going to reduce 80% of stated capital and I can't get that much of shares.( 140,000 shares).

EXPERTS PLEASE EXPLAIN

I think they are going to reduce the shares capital and stated capital by 80% if you have 10000 shares after reduce shares capital you will get 2000 shares only then they will split by 14 then you will get 2000*14 =28000 shares.

I am not an expert.
Minimum value of the share in the market might be 10cents as far as I know.
Yes blue is going to reduce 80% of stated capital but we do not need to too worry about that. There are lot of topics in our forum on this matter. If u have 10000 shares u will have 140000shares after subdivision.
Gainer,As far as I know there are not going to reduce number of share even though they reduce capital. So u can have 140000shares if u have 10000now.

1. The Share Capital reduction nothing to worry to the present share holders.
Because it won't affect the share value.

(Please read Chinwi’s comment on following thread)
http://forum.srilankaequity.com/t15341-stated-capital-reduction#100171

2. NAV or EPS won’t change

3. Increasing shares 1:14 will increase the liquidity of the shares only, but note already more than 88% (around) of shares held by public(voting & non voting)

4. Share Price increase due to share split is little bit madness because already the share is so liquid in the market.

5. Brokers can say whatever they want, because most of them are not qualified to give advice.
(Qualification wise as well as experience wise)

Comments are appreciated.
Note: I'm not holding any Blue shares.( Even in future)

Foreigners will buy low and sell high.
Our retailers will hear rumors , make gossip , do paper articles and various publicity .
Lastly our people will buy high and after struggling for some time sell low.
I have noticed these types of traps in CSE for last one year

I do not know ,"BLUE" will fall to same category.

Absolutely right.

First I thought it was rather silly to divide NHL shares into 2 when it was trading at 8/-
Now this, ridiculous!

Who knows after the split, they can go for right issue combined with warrant( Because CSE is famous for warrant issue) and suck the public's money.
Completely bull***t management tactics.

i am no expert.. but i smell something fishy with blue.... if sec allows the subdivision then it will rise from 0.5 to well i dont know may be 3.2 or something and steady it self at 2 but in this market anything is possible... look at AAF. it was not fully subscribed but yet it went to 6.9
