SEC requests the public to go through the published consultation papers and forward their comments regarding the proposed changes to the SEC act.
The newly published consultation papers go as follows.
Proposal to amend the SEC Act to introduce a range of administrative and civil enforcement powers to deal with capital market offences.
Proposal to introduce a legal framework on the offering of unlisted corporate bonds by way of private placement in the SEC Act.
Aligning SEC’s governance and international co-operation framework with IOSCO’s Objectives and Principles of Securities Regulation.
