ahaa...Mark, hope you can remember our long discussion regarding WAPO. What a golden days that was.@mark wrote:traders abandoned this share,so cant expect huge upturn if market turns, also DON'T TOUCH this if huge dumping happens in low levels, bcoz it will make hard to move up even though market turns up..be careful..

There was a typo mistake in Marks comment.. WAPO rocked to Rs 11,000/- just after the right issue announcement. Yes, some guys earned millions and some lost millions. It's the game. You have to expect both in you are doing gambling type of game in stock market.@slstock wrote:@mark wrote:@Monster wrote:ahaa...Mark, hope you can remember our long discussion regarding WAPO. I remember some guy in this forum saying he earned around 3 million playing with this share and the rights. If recall rights even traded at Rs 900!
At the same time I take moment to sympathize on the others who would have lost millions in a few days.
Let hope situations like this won;t happen in CSE in the future.

As an investment, I would rather go for it's parent company GUAR or it's related company CINV. Out of these three companies, CINV is more attractive.
In the investment trust companies, CIT and CFI are under my radar. I have collected few hundred shares of CIT at Rs 200/- and 190/- last week. It has passed Rs 700/- in a rally during last year. It may reach again at least for 400/- when lankem group move up. (Note: these two companies mainly invested on it's related companies)@slstock wrote:
Yes Monstor, CINV mostly and GUAR is getting attractive. But the thing with these investment trusts is the overall market has to go up or Buki/Cars have to go up for them to also rise due to their portfolios are mostly dependant on other share price increases.
RHL is another to eye for with their group structure and future growth prospects. Recently RAL also acquired Richlife.

I am watching RAL and COCO too. I sold COCO.N last year at Rs 80/- but didn't collect after that. Currently it's trading below it's net asset value. COCO looks it's good to collect at 45/- for medium and long term investment.

I have few CIT collected at 400/- and 380/-. However, the current average is Rs 280/-@slstock wrote:
Already have few CIT. At a bit higher average than you but no concern for now as it can run faster in LCEY/CFLB run as you said.
To be honest, I have not analyze RHL. I should do it once I have free time. Yes, they (RHL & COCO) recently acquired Richlife, a manufacture of dairy product. I worked with RichLife as an IT consultant for their database system for a short period when I was in Sri Lanka in 2003. Hence, I had an opportunity visit their factory several times.@slstock wrote:
Out of COCO and RHL, I prefer RHL as it has other subs under its belt to boost it revenue in the longer run ie ( FMCG and Automotive ). But on NAV COCO is a bit ahead in valuation now.
