da EPS has increased frm 0.14 to 1.04
and da profit has increased by 630%
and da Net asset per share is 12.76
also the 20 major shareholders involved in dis share are vry reputed... and i think da rights issue of dis share is quiet worth!

East West's entire profit of 9 months has come from Other Operating Income. This represents profits on disposal of investments - which is probably not recurring in nature.

Most real estate companies are trading at less than NAV per share; any reason why East West (NAV: Rs 12.76) should be an exception?

In the real estate space, I prefer CTLD - steady profitability and trading at discount of 24% to NAV.

CTLD has a stready profit, currently trading at below NAV and company is under a good managment. But there's no growth in the company during last one year. We should consider the growth as well when we invest. Isn't it.

@Monster: I agree with you. CTLD is not a potential multi-bagger.

As a conservative investor, I like it because the downside risks are limited. For me, it is an alternative to a fixed deposit; 20% return - including dividend - is all I expect from this stock. I have a standing sell order at Rs 37.80. Hopefully, it will get there some day! Smile

Eastwest is a betr compny dan CTDL..it has mo potential growth as da profit reserve has increased. this also can b considered a fixed deposit. wen compared to other real estate companies it is under good management. The chairman of dis company, Mr.M.W.A.D.J.Nahil Wijesuriya, is a very reliable person and im sure he will manage the company efficiently resultin in good progress. By next year at dis tym I belive dis share wil b more dan rs.24. It is a very gud investment on real estate sector.
