I am trying to figure out the PE for CARS. But I am confused when I check the Interim report as of Dec, 2010.

As of December, 2010 interim report,

Nine month Group profit = 6,490,663,000
Nine month EPS (As of Report) - 14.54

Total no of shares(As of Report) = 196,386,914

When I divide nine month profit from the total no of shares,
6,490,663,000/196,386,914 = 33.05

I get EPS 33.05 according to my calculation but in the report it's 14.54. Am I missing some thing? Please help me.

Okay I checked for you. The Profit attributable to Equity Holder is 2,872,908,00 not 6,490,663,000. Thats the figure you need to take to find PE

This should clarify.

Thanks regarding information. CARS remains a stable and strong share even under difficult conditions. This might slowly move up step by step like in the past..

@glwking

You don't have to worry holding in to weapons, things will start moving again for all the shares.
