Are your sure that today downfall was happened due to the margin call? Where did you get that news. However, I noticed several share prices went down suddenly confusing me.

My broker told me. Initially he hesitated, but I asked him specially any forced selling, then he replied some margin calls are happening. some means, there are lot...

otherwise how can it be close to 500m turnover, people will not panic that much now. some shares were just thrown to buyers whatever prices they quoted.
so wait tomorow, same thing will happen. once margin calls start, there is no end of price dropping.

Buy on credit and die early while killing others. Don't buy on credit. If the margin providers so optimistic about the market they would directly invest. These ups and downs are natural. But if you play with credit and the majority followed the same path, definitely you as well as others will lose everybody's heard earn money. Reason is that everybody buys at the same time you buy and they too need to sell when you want to sell. Please avoid trading with margin facilities or with broker credit if you want to survive and let others to live.

Valid point. I think you are perfectly correct.

Yes it can be a one reason.I have been trading with my broker more than 6 years.she confirmed that force selling is heavily going on due to margin problems. That can be the reason for unexpected short fall of some counters.

Buying on credit in a declining market is a terrible idea because your losses will be magnified.

Wait for the uptrend to start before buying on credit... and the uptrend will start - as surely as day follows night.

macho... i think better to buy small quantity and average because no one can predict the excat bottom.. with out waitng for the up trend..better to sit nicely and wait till bus move with out getting to running bus..But this is from your money and not from creidt these days... But if your going on credit i am agree with you...
