Very difficult to say that the market would react according to performances, but def the real value of SAMP share may be more than 250

That is a good sign.
Although early results for quarter ended Mar-12 have not been encouraging, the big banks seem to be doing alright. Methinks BFI sector will lead the recovery.

Yes, if no manipulation and scandles in the future.

It is the best time to buySAMP now.,Because the NSB-TFC deal has drag the share down considerably, otherwise it would have been closer to 200 today.,My understanding is 250 is attainable target in near future for SAMP

So how did they make the money, I haven't gone through the reports, was it their dollars just valued at current market price and that came up as a profit without doing any work (that would be like property revaluation), did they sell anything, can they make profits in the future?

LKR837mn as per December accounts is for the whole year ended 31/12/2011. LKR1,428mn as per March 2012 accounts is just for the quarter. This includes income from currency trading and net results from Revaluation of Foreign Currency denominated assets and liabilities.
