According to today's Island the potential investor is Ravi Wijeratne. Won't be surprised if the construction giant is revived under the leadership of Gota who had already planned to fast track Development & investments once elected as president. good times are ahead!

An astute businessman Ravi Wijeratne's move to takeover MTD Walkers is based on anticipated boom in the construction industry.
The Company's reported NAV per share as at 31st March 2019 was Rs 8/83.

We write to communicate to you that Lakma Holdings (Private) Limited has agreed with MTD Capital BHD of Malaysia (the major shareholder of the Entity), to purchase their shareholding of 152,183,583 shares, in entirety, which constitutes 90.78% of the issued shares of the Company subject to a legal due diligence and a financial due diligence by two independent expert firms appointed by Lakma Holdings (Private) Limited, and the Share Sale & Purchase Agreement (SSPA) dated 20th August 2020 has been executed subject to the said due diligence by and between MTD Capital BHD of Malaysia and Lakma Holdings (Private) Limited in support of this purchase.
