Aug 14, 2012 (LBT) - Hemas Holdings (HHL) posted net earnings of LKR 346.6m, reflecting a growth of 32.3% YoY with revenue up 27.1% YoY in 1QFY13 to LKR 6.3bn. Net earnings growth in 1QFY13 is attributable to improved performance in FMCG (38.3% YoY), Leisure (124.8% YoY), Healthcare (22.7% YoY) and Transportation (62.0% YoY) sectors. Group EBIT margins improved ~2ppts YoY as margins in transportation and FMCG sectors expanded, despite earnings being affected by exchange losses on foreign currency borrowings in the leisure and power sectors.
