Substantial institutional or high networth investor participation could be witnessed in counters such as ASIR,ASHA, LION, BREW and CFIN. Foreign buying trend continued from the previous week as Actis Investment Holdings Limited purchased 2,417,483 shares of ASHA at LKR 250. SHL purchased 81,027,800 shares of ASIR and increased its stake of the company from 46.01% to 55.12%. Meanwhile the foreign stakes of LION and BREW increased by 1,199,998 and 288,846 shares respectively. Indices gained in the light of interest seen in JKH mostly.

•Healthcare sector contributed mostly to the market turnover (due to ASIR and ASHA) and the index dropped 0.47%.
• Beverage, Food and Tobacco sector also contributed to the market turnover (due to LION) while the index gained 0.07%.
