Aug 27, 2012 (LBT) - Dr. Nalaka Godahewa has resigned as the Chairman of Divasa Finance Ltd last week. It is believed that the move is for the impending appointment of Dr. Godahewa as the new Chairman of the Securiies and Exchange Commission Sri Lanka(SEC).

Dr. Nalaka Godahewa is the Chairman of Sri Lanka Tourism Development Authority and the listed enity Colombo Land & Development Company PLC (CLND). He also acts in the capacity of Director at Lanka Hospitals Corporaion PLC (LHCL), Sri Lanka Handicraft Board and Sri Lanka Catering Services. He holds a BSc Honours degree in Electronics and Telecommunicaion Engineering, a Masters in Business Administraion and a PhD in Markeing. Dr. Godahewa is a Fellow Member of the CIM (UK), CIMA (UK) and CMA (Australia).

At the Presidential forum the SEC Chairman Tilak Karunaratne told that he is responsible for the actions of ALL those in the SEC.

THEREFORE HE IS RESPONSIBLE FOR THE FEAR PSYCHOSIS INQUIRY LETTERS AND ARTICLES.
When Mr Karunaratne made a incorrect statement stating that Director-Investigations only sent 220 inquiry letters to investors last month, when it was really the null and void Dissa Bandara who had signed them, His Excellency the President walked out and saying "only he supports us".
Mr KARUNARATNE LIED AND ILLEGALLY WROTE ON 12th AUGUST 2012, TO SECRETARY TO THE TREASURY STATING THAT THE COMMISSION APPROVED APPOINTING DISSA AS DG, WHEN ACTUALLY IT WAS NOT APPROVED AND ONLY THE MINISTER OF FINANCE CAN APPROVE ON THE RECOMMENDATION OF COMMISSION. HE WAITED FOR 5 MORE DAYS IN AN VEIN ATTEMPT TO GET THIS APPROVAL
Thank God this liar is gone within 16 days! BUT YOU ALL WILL BE JAILED EVEN AFTER YOU GO-FIRST IN 25 YEARS- DUE TO THE SUFFERING YOU GAVE THE INVESTORS.
