What do you can say about the below chats. First one is the ASI for last one year & the second one is EUR per USD for last one year.

even a blind can see these two charts are not same. different patterns.

I did a bit of Photoshop and overlapped the charts;

While its on separate charts looked different, Looks a bit similar now.. I mean not so a close match but there's a bit of similar patterns here n there.. Some bottoms do tally and the last couple of days also look similar..

this might be crazy idea of mine, but i wanna share my thought here
there should be an investor who has large no of Euros and he using it for buying stocks when the USD to EUR rate is high, and he sell his stocks when the USD to EUR rate is low and money convert to Euros. Laughing

Yes agree with you. I also didn't mean that it's exactly same. even it has a direct relationship can't expect chart to be same since ASI can be easily manipulate. Wink

EUR goes up means USD getting weaker. so the foreign inverters found it less interest to invest in USA & they are coming to attractive markets. That the reason to have high foreign inflow.
But Compare with Indian Market Sri Lanka looks less attractive. Foreign investment on equities has increase by $ 15.9 in India this year & in Sri Lanka it’s .25 Billion

In proportion to 2 countries sizes haha. India is about 65 times Sri lanka. Same as money inflow.

But I don't think that they are taking decision based on size of the country or market capitalization. Wink
