Am not saying these decisions are the best but I find the last 2 the worst.

Completely lifting director, broker trading restriction for 6 months and 20% crossing limit.

Clear indication allowing "fancy" play possible.

The SEC appears to be deviating fast from its mandate- protecting the investors. I want be surprised if more and more on this line are heard in the future. They are doing just the opposit of their mandate- heeding to the demands of manipulators. Look at foreign sales today. They have sensed some disaster.

Instead of protecting investors from crooks and mafia, the SEC has taken up the role of facilitator of manipulation and mafia directors. This time around its really will be a casino. But there wont be many players around and market will crash down for 4000. Of course this is "Miracle of Asia"

Please do not forget that all these rules came at the end or even after the end that bull market. So please do not try to over exagerate the situation.

This is bull shit. I remeber, when the Sugathadasa imposed the price band & other restrictions to the market many were blamed like this. Funny thing is...... when relax the rules ...........again blaming.

casino........yes if you play with craps. But if you play with real gems you will win. sometimes you may have a hidden agenda....... to buy at low ....... Smile

I never expected from Hapu... this kind of statement. It is too early to think like this & today's outflow is not much. will see coming days Hapu.

Although SEC has relax credit rules some broker firms are not relax their rules..

Lanka securities force sale in T+15..I think this rule is for their retail clients not for their big clients

According to news report today, most Asian Markets were down yesterday due to worries of global economic slow-down. Hence, I now think that yesterday's drop was related to that global trend (especially when foreigners become net sellers) and not due to the mess at home.

However, SEC has to revist its mandate and work towards long term market revival strategies rather than pleasing a few crooks.
