Hi guys...

Looking at the mkt t'day I feel it didn't have much power to go forward. I'm not trying to spread negative opinion. From Monday probably it will be red again.
But the problem is WHY?? I read few posts from our senior members that the mkt was over-bought and so on.We have mkt friendly SEC. so now what? Has it recovered? What's the real problem CSE face right now?
Share your views...Pls

Thanks

I think there's nothing wrong at the SEC end. For the market friendly SEC we had a rally and it will continue.

But the problem is most are expecting it to continue un interruptedly.

Can it happen? Lot of people were talking about the over boughtness. So a correction is natural. As we invest for a longer period we should bear ups and downs. Downs are important to re-align our portfolios. We know some shares went into unrealistic prices during September.

Other thing is, we had about a 1000 point run. A market increase of more than 20%. So why market had a break? Naturally it needs more funds to go into the next level. This will allow new investors to come in; existing guys to readjust their holdings and investors can study the upcoming results, etc.

I don't know what will happen next week. Can go up.. Can go down. But one thing for sure, opportunities will be there.

every time one HNWI manipulate the market, thousands of retail investors leave.

Time to stand up and put all them in jail for 20 years..

Thats is the natural thing, you didn't believe earlier market would come down.

why people panic, prices didn't down drastically like last time even we don't want to average if you have picked right shares.Always keep some money to average your portfolio.

I am planning to average only LOFC in my portfolio. cost 4.55.Yesterday again i put a 10,000 order at 4.But next average level may be 3.10-3.30 with big quantity.

we have so many thing to do.we cant worry about CSE every day.try to find a strategy for trading that suits to you.

I dont care what manipulators doing.but i know one thing they cant get anything from CSE without ignoring me.

Happy trading mate.

In the long run, SEC's actions have nothing to do with the market trends(or Eelam War).
I think I posted this about a year ago. This is the up to date chart of Asian indexes.
Market looks weak... Histor10
EM ASIA is a combined index of China, India, Indonesia, Korea, Malaysia, Philippine, Taiwan & Thailand.
Those countries did not finished a war in 2009 or SEC head change in August.
Those who invest only in CSE don't see the big picture.
It is always better to monitor the other markets.

Thanks Dileepa, your's is an eye opening comment worth further study. It appears that CSE ups & downs are similar or closely related to most Asian trends. We hammer the SEC when-ever there is a drop in indices. Poor guys have to face the music.

Fully agree with hariesha comments.. market can go up and down due to overbrought reasons or global trends etc.. same time their will be manipulators also.. We have to live with it..we can use the down ward trend to adjust our protoflio or to buy some good shares.

Wow ! and there was someone trying hard to compare the ASI and the EURO the other day. This should be a first stop for trend analyst. This chart could be used as a one image answer to a lot the useless questions that are asked each time there are a couple of red days.

Could somebody please give the same comparison with Jan to Sept 2012 ?

Thanks Dileepa.

Thanks. Couple of observations. See how much CSE underperformed compared to others from 2003. Shows signs if slowing down. We have a lot to catch up in the long run.
Wow am glad we are not indonesia. Some members here will throw a fit if it was.

Dileepa do you recall where you got the graph. Would be nice to see uptodate.

Sorry, now I see.

The ASI is at around 210 and India is at around 425 so that's a 100%, I used to think of playing catchup as a negative predicament, but this would be wonderful for us if it is played out in the near future. Maybe Eldorado and Barracuda.......

No law against dreaming right ? Smile
