We are expecting normal market ups and downs rallies and corrections, however not as CSE moments. Declines in CSE very much artificial. Rolling Eyes
however, knowing long term results yes, downs are welcome to investors who can play with cash and have extreme patience.

This can be traders paradise if one enters and exits at the right times.

But if one wants CSE to be more respectable and stable for foreigners to gain further confidence these extreme volatility has to become more moderate. Sometimes CSE behaves very illogical like today.

No market like other ( maybe except Bangladesh and indonesia) .

But in the longer run I still believe certain companies at CSE will emerge with higher ear ning and strength. Would you now have loved to own JKH when it first came out. How about DIST when it was Rs 5.

Ups and downs are part & parcel of a stock market. But the current market trend is totally unacceptable.

MPI is supposed to be the more stable index than ASI. In current context MPI is dipping more than ASI.

It's continuously falling. Yesterday MPI dipped nearly 100 points and today over 66 points without any known reason. There has to be greater stability to regain the lost confidence of the investors. Else, if this trend continue, the genuine investors would leave and the market will be totally in the hands of manipulators.

Very similar kind of behavior existed during the regimes of earlier SEC chairpersons as well. Is NG in control? or is it another tug-a-war situation?

The fluctuations are too tight, difficult to enter and exit. specially when there is risk in the back of your head.

I think this idea is wrong. See the comparison CSE behavior in last 12 months with other major asian markets.

It's our attitudes and behavior. Market went up by more than 1000 points or by 20% during last one month. Now we are in a break. But most of the shares are very much above last June and July prices. But look at the pain visible in the forum. Unless people who have bought at the highest levels after watching the upmove, all others should be in a much comfortable level.

After having up by 20%, we now had a 5% correction. But we think it like market is going to collapse. Look at how hong-Kong, which is said to be the most developed market is behave. It's up by 15% YTD. But look at how many set backs are there. That's the beauty of a stock market. I feel we just started the ascent. There can be set backs. Treat them as opportunities.

Hariesha,

Am not sure what you disagree with. I was talking about extreme volatility ( going up or going down) at CSE in short term. I noticed Bangladesh, indonesia also can have very sharp spike and very sharp falls. I already mentioned my longer term positive opinion on selected companies at CSE.

BTW, if you take the up from 5000- 6000 as 20% then the correction now is around 7% at 5600. But yes the June/July prices are still above for most companies.
