for the Share Market downfall?
In the meeting held with the President, Dr Karunathilake was blamed for the Market Downfall that was happening till July...

Who should be held responsible for what is happening now?? Will the same questions be asked? Evil or Very Mad

Since the doctor left the market is up more than 15% from 4,700 to 5,500. Had the doctor remained market would be 4,500 and we would need an undertaker.

I never Blamed Dr. Thilak. Actually most of his actions are in correct path although some directives gives over-regulation impression. we can't expect ethics in stock market in a country where law and order gone to the dogs and every single thing is politicalized. Thats why he was chased away by mafia.

Moreover, investor mindset of small and medium scale traders should be improved in order to transform CSE to a matured market. Even though we seen one of the worst market crash at CSE history during past 2 years, it seems local retailers never learnt a lesson which is in evidence from this forum's many childish posts. Some people are crying and releasing frustration, some are forever bears, some are forever bulls and while some group blaming it on Sirasa and Harsha. Especially how the hell can only one media institution alone bring share market down? Why aren't these guys posting sirasa wins, harsha wins everytime cannot understand it?

I personally don't beleive technical analysis effective on a am-matured market like CSE. I feel our market is controlled and manipulating according to wishes of some group of HNWI and politicians. Because of that the movements either ways are not natural. If you invest in a matured market you may understand the difference clearly. It is acceptable to use technical analysis to have some sort of idea about direction for some extent. but solely depend on charts is foolish thing in CSE. I consider those resistance levels and stuff are bullshit at CSE. everything is manipulated according to needs of big fish. Often thats why we are in overcorrected situations either way.

Majority of people who blamed DR TK were carrying large unrealised losses. I'm pretty sure that the same bunch of people will go against Dr NG if he will not take ASI to 6500 to 7000 level anytime (anyhow) soon.

Yes, people like to blame more. Some people don't know when to watch, when to buy, when to sell and when to hold. I understand that this is a difficult process we cannot master perfectly ( I guess no one can be 100% in short term all the time) but it should not be passed to blame others without taking some blame yourself.

To be frank, I was expecting a fall when ASI was over 5900 and mentioned it several times in the forum. But I too did not expect this much instability which can cause serious chain reactions. CSE seems to be having a large share of people with soft nerves for a small market. Wehn selling start ( or buying starts) they go all out is appears. On the positive note this instability seems to be over correcting certain good counters too. Maybe we can look for opportunities and rotation of weak shares in markets like this.

Was interesting to see how a fundamental counter was driven to Rs 150 from Rs 105 and driven back to Rs 130 right now. Does someone willing to sell back at Rs 110s?

When everyone was praising NG, I asked the same question, what if the market comes down under him as well? will it be his neck next?

It time to take responsibility for your actions and the results it causes, instead of blaming TK or the SEC. Sure the SEC has made some very short termed and shot sighted decisions. BUt people are also short term minded and like to call themselves "investors", when they are actually speculators. there is a place in the market for both but be real about what you call yourself.

Yes

People should understood that no one can uplift the market whole run. Time to time people come and go but for sustainable development of the market will solely depend on the country's economical development and its stability. There some external factors too to consider. controlling those factors beyond Regulator's control. They can only do feeding market short term.. As a stock trader what we should do is to do our trade safe and maximum use the opportunities offered by this highly volatile market. There is no point and useless to blame other for our fault.
