Most probably after math the Hurricane Sandy neither of the candidates aspiring to be President of the US will be that keen now. How can anyone manage a crisis of that magnitude?

We will wait and see who will prove to be the most daring of US Presidents of all time Laughing

Obama was so unlucky to get it from GWB Jr who left with a gaping hole and Sandy is not doing any favour to him either. But he will win & survive. Very Happy

yes, Obama will win ,but next election in 2016,no one will come forward as USA would be in chaos.

Chaos? you seem to be negative for a country that some how survived during times of difficulty. But I agree that they certainly need to do some expense, policy , energy adjustments.

This hurricane said to be the worst in our times.. So the damage it had done may not be that easy to recover in a lesser period.

Yes, USA had survived in the difficult times but they're more prone to these natural disasters.. So I wonder how a govt can manage/compensate ppl for the losses.
And they're power hungry and stop at nothing to make sure they get it.

So whoever wins, they make sure they play the required role.

Any unexpected disaster (just before a close election) should give an edge to the ruling party, if they handle it wisely and emotionally.

Debt is part and parcel for any economy. Issue is not whether you have debt , but how you manage it with a plan. So this chaos will happen only if there is no clear plan for repayment and reduce it. Atleast they now understand this is a big problem, but the steps they have take n to reduce it is not very good. Let see what they will do in the next few years. If they keep balloning it up without a plan then thats not good.

Debt 17 T
Nominal GDP 16 T

Which means their Debt is more than 100% of GDP .
In Sri lanka, it was around 80% and now around 43%.. ( Not 100% sure, Or it should be 63% )

So if Above calculation is correct US in a bit trouble ?

But by 2015 US is expected to be the largest Oil/Energy producer in the wold than Saudi Arabia.
And still US not charging maximum Tax from the people.
Still their brands like Apple , Wall mart , Coca Cola leading the world.

So it is too early to predict a bad future but yes possibilities are their.
The biggest mistake US did was that they didn't bailout Lehman brothers.

Any way i would say Obama is not the man. I dont didnt study about the other fellow. Any way USA need a change again.

SLStock you stand correct there.. Me too agree I believe US have had lot courageous leaders to take the country onto the right path and face the difficulties with bravery. That's how they became top and they will remain strong.. Never expect them to collapse the way some people think.

If they collapse they will drag most of other countries with them.

So will these countries which are also dependent on US let them collapse? Another point to ponder.

I don't know whether they can be in fore front forever, but they will be a strong force in the world.

Their fore front role may get changed but yes they will remain as strong force unless some nature's destructive force acts upon them.
