Whoever made this chart is a dumb.
I dont know why they make this kind of chart and put in public forums.

This is a wrong chart for a blind eye, showing decline in 2012. the reality is you compare 6 months income with one year period. it shows simply they dont have common sense at all

dear malanp,

This chat is made by myself. using excel. I just want to show the increase of gross income of VFIN for last for years with 2012/2013 six month. if you read the chart carefully you can see last column of the chart is for six months & it is more than the previous years 12 months gross income. VIFN is a future star like LFIN that is what I want to tell to members.

And other thing is 2012 is the best year so far. I do not understand why you say 2012 is showing decline. I think you have misread the details.

Dear Admin & members, pls let me know is this misleading the memebrs ? if so pls delete my post.

I put six months details to this charts to show you how well they are doing the 2012/2013, half away they passed 800,000. it means they will pass 2011/2012 GI easilly in this year.

opfdo,

your intention is correct, but the issue is the way you put your chart. However you put a note that the last is for 6 months, that's not how a chart is done, is it Wink

To make a decent comparison, either you can compare 1H figures or annualize the FY2013 figures as an estimate and create the chart Smile

A chart is for a blind eye. you make a chart for people to see the trend who does not need to read statistics along with that. If you show a wrong trend in the chart the whole purpose of making a chart is lost.

I thought this chart was made by some research department of a brokering house, because these people have no clue of share prices in CSE
.
For a example NDB, in their Stock tracker report, always compare price before the split with price after split, then say share price decreased by 50%, without knowing share was splited into two in the previously week. I simply dont know what knowledge they have about share trading.

opfdo is trying to share some info with some effort made. So if there is something not clear we can point out to him so he will be aware next time.

Though the chart issue is noted , to be fair by him he has said on the chart itself it is 6 month earning. We should not discourage the remaining few in this forum who does some kind of share analysis .

Many people do not give facts or info and do blind promotions or try to threadcrap when someone makes an attempt.

I mean no personal offence to Marlap also . His comments are noted as I also find some broekr reports not considering splits or right issues etc when reporting. I think Optfo will note the suggestion the future. But we should not tell him to " if you dont know how make a chart, then dont do it"

I feel, the explanation given along horizontal line extends the meaning of chart.

Encouraging the contributions to this forum is most welcome.

Opfdo has clearly labelled the chart.

Thanks for the useful info. Maybe the chart will look quite different after the Q4 results Wink

Cheers!

We should value people. But unfortunatly most of are do not think about it even, we can see that in the day to day work. When we going in the bus, train, even in the office sometimes at home, amoung friends....
so sad actually. But we can continue & promote the good human values in this forum like this.

thank you sls & everyone for the encouragements. I wish you all for a very good & green week. Smile

opfdo, When the learning starts, it tends to be difficult. Lot of others point fingers for mistakes. Then positive attitude helps in correcting the mistakes and step in to the future with more confidence.

In 2005 I learnt statistics but I never applied it. I remember it had the nice formulas, ways to figure out future earnings which I did for exams.. But when u dont practice what u learn u could easily forget those..
So doing something with the knowledge u have is also important. U can always ask someone to correct if wrong and learn how they've done it.

Frankly I learnt fundamental analysis by looking at how greedy, cse.see had done it.. I still remember how nervous I was when I published my first analisis here.. Wink
3 years back I reviewed MW's posts to see what kind of techniques he used to beat the market, I read chinwi's comments as those comprice of a veteran's years of experince as how he had done many things with that knowledge was outstanding. Innam's ability in picking thigs up quickly, tubel's alarming comments on bear markets, The list goes on... This is how u learn..

When u compare charts for companies, always stick to compare the same time periods. If its Q1,Q2 then comparing it with Q2,Q3 of this year could give a wrong trend.

Since u dont have Q4 data for the current year, u can annualise or take an average to be on safe side too Wink

I like threads like this; we can learn and share ideas.

An income chart is good to see company performance trend, but personally, I like to see EPS trend. It shows if the market price increase compared to the income. It will allow us to gain from any market reaction (to income) inefficiencies.
Here is VFIN performance in a different angle (Q. EPS trend). For comparison, I have included few more companies in the same price range as well. Clearly, VFIN is like a silver line in a dark cloud; Isn't it?

Little information about VFIN for last 4 years to discuss Vfin_e10
