Recent GREG Crossings ::

23 000,000 - Each GREG N - W03 -W06 - Crossed -03 lots sold by Lion heart

Yesterday 70,000,000 Each GREG W03-W06 Crossed sold by Lion heart ..
Today 9 000 000 GREG N traded @ 16
Is some thing behind this ?
The fellow who bought W03/W06 bought them to convert to Shares within 2 years time by
Paying LKR 40 per warrent ? When the share is trading at 16 ? why they pay 40 plus 4.20 & 4.50 ?

Do thay have a plan to take the share to beyoned 40 By next year or do they think it will reach beyond LKR 40 by next year ?

May be they are thinking of collecting a capitol gain by trading Warrents ?

////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////

Hikkaduwa Beach Resort IPO suddenly was fully subscribed on the last day and one investor had bought more than 90 % of the IPO ..It is due to hit the markket within next few days ...

I presume the connected ones who subscribed to 90 % may have a plan to gain a capitol gain and to do that they need a GREEN Market condition ? Isnt It ?

What i learnt from last few months is that CSE is not a floor that reacts to Strong Results or Fundamentals any more ....
It is reacting to the Thinking of these market movers only ...so i think wise ly we should follow them ..thats the way to survive and gain capitol gains from CSE ...

Who knows ..From tommorow again CSE may go Rock bottom and may start a bull run and may hit 5900 by the date that HIKKADUWA IPO shares comes to the market .....

May be by then GREG willl gradually pass 20 -25 Levls and warrents may reach new hights of 7- 7.50 ?

Remeber Very Recently REEF Warrens rally - when it HIT 9 ?

( When i checked with 03 Broking Firms - ASHA/DNH/SMS they said the same story that i shared with the Forum that USD 16.7 Million cash due to Greg by Jan 2012 )

May be worth doing a fact finding mission about the GREG W 03/W 06 buyer and follow him ..to recover the losses ....

Above posts includes some fair points to which I will reply in some time

but again, the news you shared is an announcement made months ago. It's not "News" now. You don't need broker firms to say that. Still you didn't reply to my query regarding the warrant conversion on the other thread. I'm not looking for arguments here, just want to have a good discussion.

But the number of warrents aquired by the Buyer at 4.20 & 4.5 is the Plus points and positive point ..

Either he/she wants to have a Capitol gain before converstion or either Warrents will pergform well in few months or may be during 2013/2014 -

In this case if we can invest on GREG WAREENTS like a FD investments we have a chance of getting even 100% capitol gains ?

If the share goes beyond 40 Levels in 2013 & 2014 - Automatically warrents will go beyoned 10 ..
So if we Buy at current levels @ 4.5 - 5 Levels we get 100% gain within 12-15 Months ..

I dont think there is no other way of earning that much high returens ion this world other than casinos ?

it is not quite right to think of it that way.

Do you know who bought these warrants? Did it occur to you that it could be TAP as a follow up of the share purchase in order to negate the dilutive effect? It's a possibility. That's why I posted that if Lionhart has these warrants, it would still be in a position to increase its sake just by converting warrants.

About the plus points
1) If GREG is to go above 40/- then why do you have to buy warrants to get a 50% gain?
If GREG.N reaches 40/- on conversion the gain would be 150%, whereas by having the warrant you will not get anything (as per today's price of 4/- since conversion is 36/-)
So that is a totally invalid point.

2) Warrants will offer good trading opportunities - true, but at such a huge quantity, the only way to find a buyer is to dump them in the open market, and you know what that means? Only possible and reasonable way that warrants of such qty will change hands is when the ordinary stock itself changes hands thus keeping the diluted stake in tact.

There have been many instances where retailers have gone after huge transactions and failed. One was well known (PCH trade). Even if you take the BIL,GREG deal, where did all the hype you presented go to? (Honestly I too anticipated that retailers will bring the prices closer to the crossing price, but perhaps the premium was way too high) Seems our people are learning.

In summary, If GREG reaches 40/- in 2014 it will give a 150% gain, while 2014 warrant will not give anything. If GREG reaches 36/- it is a 125% gain while theoretically 100% loss if warrants were held.

I dont and can not agree totally with you - if at all there is no gain why the hell the buyer buys this much warrents paying 4.20 & 4.50 Each ?

I strongly feel that there is some thing positive ? Have a gutfeeling ..

If it is TAP, then it is for the reason I mentioned (to keep the stake in tact or o avoid future dilution). Note that it cannot be crossed more than 5% below the closing price (i think)

Some give warrants a time-value of money but it depends on your preference. On face value, for me, the value of 2014 warrant is negative 20.
You can argue it's the same with REEF, but these are two different companies,
with REEF, one is expecting growth in the next 2-3 years with its new projects on the other hand, all you got for GREG is its 16.7mn USD? Highly speculative

DO you say that the warrant will reach 10/- just before conversion when GREG reaches 40/- then ?

I'm losing it now. How can you go on making silly comments like this?

W2 has not been trading for a long time. Although a extension was allowed, SEC made it non-tradeable. It was trading at a premium at the time (10+ Rs.) and fell to nothing within a matter of minutes! Now that's not capital gain, that's calld losing everything.

Same will happen with other warrants too but they're trading at lower price than what W2 was trading at.

Do what you want with your money but don't mislead others in this forum. If you want to take a gamble or even if you are sure, go ahead. You have not convinced anyone with your points. Either changing focus or avoiding queries and putting forward silly arguments.

This is a very dangerous level of speculation.

Hi.

Is FEB 15 the converstion date for W003 ? Pls let us know the dates if some body knows ..

does it matter? W2 is yet to be converted. It has been postponed to Sept 2013. So how on earth can this be converted before that?

Yes the more time we have there is more chance for capitol gains ...

Had i told anybody to buy Greg ?
