yes..... all the people thinking and waiting for the market to go down and those who has stock, holding on to them till the market goes up.
the small traders has almost vanished or either have shares and waiting till market goes up.
uptill someone pulls this up, it will just drag down little by little.
i have a good feeling that, in the month of january, it will be a bull month.
with MPI gone the manipulators will be able to play with the minds of poor retailers much easily.
taking off the MPI is another play by the big boys to my knowledge.

There is no point blaming any.
Now we are in a " ගෙදර ගියොත් අඹු නසී මග සිටියොත් නුඹ නසී " situation.

If one was constantly with CSE from 2011 Feb to now and already saw through the drastic downfalls, the talk about bubbles, overvalued markets, massive manipulations, does one feel the situation is much better now as there are many companies which are much stronger then 2011 valuations?
does anyone now want to sell in bulk much lower than the lowest seen so far those companies with are trading below market by a large margin?

BTW, does anyone think there will be another crash to 4700 with significant volumes and selling pressure unless something drastic happens ( not seasonal selling pressures with low volumes) ?

In any country where people's power is out of balance, the universal depiction is the irrepressible authority grabbed by few who enjoy the direct economic benefits.

So, corruptions & malpractices being continued are placed outside the regulatory framework & esteemed legal system. With the passage of time, people's trust placed on institutional activities become diminished leaving their participation.

This has been happening in most of Asian countries because political power & influence run on top of all kind of profitable business activities.

Authorities main concern should be to re-establish the lost confidence & the trust
in business environment. Question is, how & when such steps be taken.

Now many things are positive for market compared to early 2012.So crash below 5000 cannot be justified.. What I cant understand is why this much of very low activity.. it is not healthy for any one and cannot be justified by any means ...

Turnover was at these levels in the first half of 2009, when the country was in the middle of a balance of payments crisis and in the last stages of a 30-year war. Turnover fell to 80 million rupees on April 30, 2009.

Sri Lanka is now again recovering from a balance of payments crisis, triggered by large volumes of credit taken by state enterprises to manipulate energy prices and the market is going through a correction.

There are also concerns over rule of law and property rights.
