@seek: Nobody can forecast the market accurately, least of all me... Unless you make prophetic statements like: 'Some shares will go up, some shares will go down'! (My prediction was based on a reasonable return of about 15%.)@seek wrote:@Antonym wrote:On the reasonable assumption that we will make it past Doomsday, here is my market forecast for 2013 -

Would you like to share the base for your calculation?

@Chinwi wrote:For me 2013 is a time extension for consolidation and rearranging my investments. We have to think sharply and adjust out holdings to suit the future environment of this country. Somehow I am waiting for 2014 to see considerable activity in most stocks.
In 2013, I think some counters will give unexpected returns , even over 50%, while many others maintain at healthy levels to keep us happy. Some sectors may go down due to bad influence from local and world economic conditions.
The main difficulty is to find out what are those stocks/counters - what we should buy or hold and what are the shares we should drop.
In 2009 just after the war, it was much easier to select and predict stocks and the best sectors for next 12-18 months.

Market will go up in 2013 slightly.
We are loosing golden opportunity created after winning war in 2009 IF the govt
take corrective action it is not too late .Genuine effort should be made in respect of good governance,Rule of law and Economic Management
There are lot of good recommendations in the LLRC Report But govt complicate problems and try to manage crisis only ( Management by crisis)
ASPI WII GO ABOVE 7000 in 2013,if GOVT implement above recommendation
But under present circumstances no one can expect govt will do it
