RCL is moving up due to very good third quarter results.
The majority share holder Dammika Perera also has the controlling share of
Hayleys and they own the new five star hotel Kingsbury, which is being refurbished with RCL bathroom fittings, tiles etc. Most of the hotel projects
of the govt (for example Hyatt, Shangri La etc ) will all be done under the
company headed by Gamini Senarath ( President Rajapaksa's right hand man)
and the supply of all Bathroom fittings and Tiles will be done by Dammika Perera and Royal Ceramics has won all the contracts. So 2013 is good for RCL
and investors are smart enough to have started collecting around Rs. 105.
Its PE is only around 7 and PBV 1.5

Dear

if you look at the last financial report (ended Sept 2012), it indicates that the earning is not enough to cater the company expenditure yet the price is appreciated by Rs 9.00. Think for a while.

Delmege Forsyth & Co. Ltd., acquired last year at a cost of over Rs. 2 billion by interests aligned to Mr. Dhammika Perera, has appointed Mr. Nuwan Wimalana who has worked in senior capacities for Nestle Lanka and Coca Cola, as Group CEO with effect from February 2013.

Delmege is a diversified group of companies previously controlled by Mr. Ricky Mendis with substantial real estate in Colombo and a retail distribution business covering over 40,000 outlets countrywide.

Analysts said that the Delmege property being close to Hayleys at Dean’s Road, also with extensive real estate in the area, was valuable to Dhammika Perera who is now the major shareholder of Hayleys.

Delmege is also into shipping, freight forwarding, interior décor, furniture suppliers and lifestyle products, medical and pharmaceuticals, imports and exports, insurance brokering, leisure and air services.

Although there was an intention of quoting the company on the Colombo Stock Exchange soon after the takeover at substantial cost to Perera’s group, these plans were put on hold.
Sources close to Delmege said that a restructuring prior to listing was necessary as there were over 50 subsidiaries in the group. That process has now been completed and they could now look at a listing if market conditions were right.

RCL Hold 20% of Delmege Forsyth & Co. Ltd.
RCl is ready to move
