Recently there were plenty of bad news in SL. Specially govt's impeachment against CJ and monopoly and dictatorial journey of the government. Specially we saw and heard many bad sounds from the western countries like USA,UK and Canada against government's bad decisions. As well as we can see clearly the Govt doesn't want to lead the country properly for the development and they need only to acquire their personal achievements same like 2/3 power. The only thing what I can see is dictatorship. Nobody is talking against any mistake and everyone is trying to get their portion and protect the leader. The govt don't want to make friendship with western countries. They need only to depend on China and Russia.

The only positive think i can see currently is ruling party stability. But it is also not favor to market. It is only favor to whom going kade (Kade yana ayata). We can see some infrastructure development like roads/highways. But is it enough to our country? As everyone know this all the billions of loans. Except govt stability, the companies are doing well. But is it enough for a sustainable market?

Still this anything was not reflected at the market. I guess it is happening due to manipulations. At the end of the day some one is buying 1 share from many companies for Rs 0.10 higher than previous close. Till which date he can hold market and when will start next change. if its down, where will the market stop?
Open for discussion.................

You are correct
Main People in the govt do not think about these things.Their interest is only to make money as far as possible until the govt is stable. When they feel govt is week they will go to other side They can do it easily because most of them are from that side

Only the real supporters of stated mahinda chinthana and general public will suffer

wsaman, you are making a straitforward statement on the current impasse. Thank you for your genuine efforts.

Stability without democracy worked in Singapoor because they had a vision on economic development but here in Sri Lanka, we have the stability without democracy but lacks prudent economic vision. Cheap publicity of socalled miracles of Asia will never develop a country.

I do agree with all of you ,this is not the best government when it's come to democracy or vision on economic development.but when you compare with previous governments this one is better because
1.ended the war
2.started mega development projects
3.push towards food security of the country
Our expectations are high so we expect more from the people in power.right now can we see anybody from opposition who could exceed our expectations??

CSE
2012-we had all these bad news.nothing new, nothing change.but still CSE managed to get around 38 billion foreign inflow so why do you think these bad news will have negative impact on CSE in 2013 ??

Party stability is maintained at the expense of citizens.
Social welfare is not distributed for needy people.
Export oriented industries are not motivated.
No firm action on state white elephants.
Inefficiencies & corruptions swallow heavy taxes paid.
No trust on law & order.
Social virtues are deteriorating.
How can we expect a strong market? Day by day we are loosing opportunities not realizing the weaknesses while talking too much on strength & threats..
