Charting Software for Colombo Stock Exchange equity trading. Uses a local database.
The program features all the popular technical indicators and buy/sell signal generator ( Options -> Technical Indicators).

Daily Update:
Users are required to upload the WAP file daily, you can obtain the WAP file by subscribing to the below mentioned mailing-list

Installation
No installation is required , you can use this as a portable application.

1. Download JStockCharts.rar by visiting the above direct download link.
2. Extract the downloaded file in to a desired location (e.g C:\)
3. Add shortcut to the JCharts.jar file to the desktop.
4. Run the application using the above shortcut.

You need to have Java run time installed to run the application.http://www.java.com/en/download/manual.jsp.. after downloading ..

Extract JCharts.jar file
Copy the folder to a desired location ( like C:\)
Run JCharts.jar file

Extract JStockCharts.rar file using winrar...
Open JStockCharts folder
Run JCharts.rar file..

If you have Java runtime installed on your machine, application will start, otherwise you'll have to install it..

I would appreciate your assistance on 2 issues.
1. Chart Draw/ Data/ Preview/ doesn't work. Gives a message Box with a header "Chart Renderer". Market data tickers are working fine.
2. Historical Prices doesn't show. Technical indicators are working fine.

Am I missing something? or do I have to upload any database file/s?

Please make sure the DB_XSTOCKS.db , lib folder and the JCharts.jar file are in the same folder. and if this is not the case please update your JRE to the latest version. hope this helps. Smile

Ok, Please make sure the following files/folders are inside the same folder.

1.JCharts.jar file
2.DB_XSTOCKS
3. lib folder

if you copy JCharts.jar file without the other file/folder , application won't run. hope this helps Smile

Hasintha pls help me,

I am getting Jstock charts,lib and META.INF folders. Also DB_XSTOCKS.h2 , DB_XSTOCKS.trace and readme files.

Which one to open and also if I open it comes as open as. There is no .jar file....I think first unzip I had it and it opens with pc suit. then I deleted and again did unzip. now I couldn't find that.

Please help me........

Bro, There's File named "JCharts" inside the compressed folder you downloaded. That is the one you need to double click (run)..

Hey bro , pardon me for the delay in reply because I was pondering over possible causes,
do you get the error ("Chart Render") for all the time periods or to a specific time period ?
please select a different time period and try drawing the chart.
and if you still getting the error, what is the error message exactly.?
Since the offline ticker and TIs data gets populated this doesn't seem to be a database related issue....
