And government need not to worry about these buggers as majority of people do not care sayings of these buggers except for fun.
On the other hand government should reduce the corruption as much as possible for they will have to pay one way or the other for mismanagement of PUBLIC MONEY. We have witnessed the final fate of the most who mismanaged the public money.
I hope you mean "How many did not believe that they can be defeated militarily".
Yes Great many except those Sihala Urumaya and JVP guy only.
It was in their Manifestos but how many patriots you now find here in open forums like this have voted to any of those parties?
None I believe. Very Happy
Both of those parties come in to action when there was a market for patriocism. It was more of political agenda. There were people who genuinely believed that LTTE could be defeated militarily. Actually Sihala Urumaya and JVP got that idea from those people. To be fair for Sihala Urumaya and JVP, there were/are genuine people who believed in that.
And to be fair for majority of people who genuinely thought that LTTE could not defeated militarily it was actually not their own opinion...It was an opinion implanted on their minds by so called international community, tamil people who support Elaam and our ignorant lot including most of the politicians.

International community gave arms and technology, some of the tamil people gave the inside info (Ex: Karuna,Douglas etc etc) and ignorant and the politicians back the govt to defeat the LTTE.
Why did you miss the parts, "so called", "who support eelaam" ? I agree that majority of those ignorant lot and some of politicians back the government when they realized their prior idea was due to their ignorancy.

Who support Eeleam, difficult to answer, there is a way you can ask your bosses to persuade the UNO to have a voting, then we can come to conclusion?

Who do not like to have a separate country ? But we should not do unfair, extreme things to fulfill our desires. And I DO BELIEVE majority would not do such unfair, extreme things even though they have that desire in their hearts.

I voted to the party which had the real capability to do something and I do not need to regret about it as they have achieved that goal. For your comment about "know all"....I do not say I know All ON THIS FIELD but I do know lot on this field so I have fair right to comment.

In fact I do not know to which party you voted.
But I am sure that it cannot be either Sihala Urumaya or JVP as no direct answer to my question.
No other party has ever said that they would defeat the LTTE militarily if comes to power.
So it was obvious that like many of our patriots today, you too have not done the patriotic duty part when it was really needed and asked but now try to cash in with only by getting painted in the Patriot paint.
As for the comment "Know All", it fits you well because I do not think that you know anything about me or my track records but just babbling here thinking that you know all only.
We have a plentiful of that kind here and that is why we will stay a Third World country for the next 500 years or so also.

Yes, I in full agreement with your last statement and that is why I have decided not to pursue the issue any more because with someone who is only just capable of muttering and babbling without giving a direct answer, it would be just futile effort only.
Only plus point in this whole episode was that now I not only know that Donkeys have nor direct answers any questions posed to them but also they capable of muttering and babbling " I Know All " at will.
Have a Good D____ Day Very Happy

So it was obvious that like many of our patriots today, you too have not done the patriotic duty part when it was really needed and asked but now try to cash in with only by getting painted in the Patriot paint.
As for the comment "Know All", it fits you well because I do not think that you know anything about me or my track records but just babbling here thinking that you know all only.
We have a plentiful of that kind here and that is why we will stay a Third World country for the next 500 years or so also.
I dare say YOU ARE STILL IN THAT CATOGORY OF IGNORANT LOT WITH COMPLETE LACK OF INTELLIGENT GUESSING AND FAIR AMOUNT OF LACK OF UNDERSTANDING ALSO.
And I am muttering following to myself,
"I can take a donkey to the water but I can not make it drink."
I am happy at least now you know something about your own kind pirat pirat pirat

Anyway do you think it will open in August ? (I wonder if Rainmaker knows when the southwest monsoon will break.) Dematagoda to Jaela is the most dangerous stretch of road in Sri Lanka.

Actually NO.. its just a warning.. We dont threat anyone here empty or full. But we banned few arrogant members in the past if you dont remember.

Talking of history, members who understood the message, usually refrained from repeating such in future.
Some needed few more doses of probing to correctly understand things. Then, there were few (not even one handful) who didn't wanna use their brains and keep on adding malice to the forum. FYI, we decided to keep them as jokers as forum didn't have much. Some had been banned due to use of filth.

WB, dont take this offensive mate.. We actually admire your views on some topics. Besides, your critic view in some cases were, imo, eye openers. Sometimes u brought to the table an alternative view or portrayed a different picture of the topic being discussed. So those were valuable.

What I'm highlighting is, deviation from the main topic - when discussing some sensitive criteria, its normal for a writer to go a bit of off-topic cuz some explanation would've to be done. But taking it to the next level by dragging the deviation further adds non-sense to the main topic. That's what we have to avoid.
Its not only you but I addressed all in general. The main issue is someone starts it then another opposes it and it goes on.. But after about 3-4 off-topic discussions, this must stop. But I didn't see it happening. Someone must stop but no one takes the initiative.

Hope you'd take this positively and refrain from doing so in future.

I may not be the suitable person to tell this as I am one of alleged Wink person here. But anyway I am telling this,
It is in our nature to go off the topic when we discuss things. The main reason for this is we take things collectively....it is not our nature to take things separately. අපිට යමක් වියුක්තව සිතන්න අමාරුයි. That is one of the main reason for some of our students to fail in maths also.(It is not because those students are less intelligent.) Western people can think separately due to their system and the nature of their Chinthanaya(චින්තනය). Even though we learn to think separately in this westernized education system when it comes to the arguments most of us can not think separately. වියුක්තව සිතන එක අපේ ඇ‍ඟේ නැහැ. අපේ චින්තනය තුල වෙන් කරලා සිතීම අඩුයි. So we go off the topic for sometime and then later come back to the topic again. Some may not like it and say we make the things messy but it is bit of our nature.
Anyway I have noticed few of our members who can stick to the topic being discussed.( I am not telling they are more intelligent or something like that. They have just sticked to the western chinthanaya. )

Well its a good thing that we go off topic (as its just our nature) and bring so many facts to the discussion table (despite those are relevant or not) but as I said going off topic should be done with care and wherever possible, we should return to the original topic.

The issue, as I emphasized earlier was that not becauz we cannot think separately, we dont want to do it.. We're happy when our normal mindset is not challenged and we go wild when someone does it.. That's again "අපේ චින්තනය".

Whether its "අපේ චින්තනය" or "western chinthanaya", we must try to stick to the point.

වැල් වටාරම් කියල point එකට එන එක "අපේ හැටි" නම්, අපි නාස්ති කරන්නෙ අන් අයගෙ වෙලාව කියන එකයි මගේ හැන්ගීම..

So lets try to be better in our response..

I do not think that you have understood what I meant by අපේ චින්තනය. Thing is it is not wise to take things separately when actually all are inter-related. Anyway you might say this is also වැල් වටාරම් and off the topic. So I refrain from further discussing this.
