if it has been converted you don't have to pay. anyway you can't pay to convert now.
but my question is how it was converted. If you hadn't paid, maybe your broker paid for you with your existing money.

Firstly many thanks for your response. Yes, It has been paid by the broker using credit available in my account. I only bought 100 shares and my commitments was 100x940/- = 94000+....But after the conversion my share value is Rs. 225 x100=22500+...

Should I get a refund for the difference (i.e. 94,000/-..- 22,500/-) or do I have to bear the loss of 71,000/- {94,000/- - 22,500/-} (assuming the market value as Rs 225/- of a share).???

If you could explain???....

In that case, you must still pay the 20/- per share to your broker to settle the credit. It's been a long time and I assume you had settled the broker while settling the credit anyway.

Well, you cannot get any refund. Unfortunately the shares you have value at around 225 and you have to bear the loss if you sell now. I do not know whether it will go up or down so wait for any other comments on that or read the other threads on WAPO

You have already burnt your fingers lol!

Your average cost per share = 940 + 20
But now share price is hardly going beyond 300 levels.... U have to accumulated a loss of 660/-

Dont buy Rights if you are not experienced enough !!!

Thanks Benz. You made it clear. Yes agree with your last comment. I did purchase rights without any idea that I was buying rights. Now I have to bear that loss or wait till the share goes up somewhere around my original purchase price or minimise the loss using any other strategy. Thumbs up for you Benz for that piece of advise . Have a good night!!

Oh dear...you have done a big mistake. But more importantly you have now realized that you did a mistake, so you will never repeat.

Dear Pushpakumara,

Happend has happend.
Dont regreat now.
when you purchased at Rs 980/-,it was moving from Rs 300 level. This is a highly volatile share people played with.
My advice is do nothing now.hold it.It is likely that it will move with time and improvement in the market status after new year.

All the best.Forget this share and enjoy your trading from 18th ,but watch the progress of WAPO daily for your awareness.
Dont worry.

All the best in what you do.

If you have WAPO in your portfolio means, you paid already.
Your total cost per share will be 980+20
Now WAPO is going around 260 level.
Your lost is difficlt to recover. Next time when you are purchasing rights, you should be very carefull.
Anyway wait until the market starts running. You may able to reduce your loss from WAPO.

Evil or Very Mad

This may be not relevant ,
But just an example:
Can you please check yahoo finance and see the sock price of General Electric 1960 to 2011,
Can you see: around 1960's 1990 Buyers has to wait about 30 years to come to break even . Twisted Evil
Then one who purchased around in 2000, still in the que for waiting... pale

About your Buying again. IMHO it will be a blast..
You should not average your positions when you have a loss, what you shod do is exactly opposite. When you have profit you should buy more in pull backs.. ( how to find those holy pull backs is a problem?? ) Wink { " Cut the losses and let the profit run " }

Watapota (WAPO) Rights Watapo10

Since you are already thinking to average,
(IF YOU REALLY WANT TO BURN:)
If i am you, this is how i do.
( I assume you guys all have knowledge about market cycles / Elliott wave theory etc..)
Say i buy 100 shares @ 980, (point A) Twisted Evil (like you have done)
Now i want to get out.. with some profit or at least break even. It is going down like hell... Razz
I am willing to risk my capital more ( here you have to make a choice bom ) an i know if i play right, i can rescue my investment. If this gone wrong, i have to bear more loss..

So, rescue can be done only in correction wave.. so what i have to do is bring my average to correction wave. (point B) then exist in small profit or at break even ..

So ASSUMING (predicting is bad thing Wink ) correction will goes to Rs 300 /=
I try to make my average to 290/= { 300 is for profit Very Happy }
so, I should buy .. 980*100+280*x shares=290*(x +100) , x shares..

Do the math and find your X...
If you are having large capital.. then no problem.. scratch

study
