I think most of us got frustrated with market. In real terms CSE has not moved significantly from 5000 (unless CTC & NEST). People still carry huge unrealised losses. That reflects in this forum as well. Most retailers money stuck in chicken stocks/ greg/ reef/blue & many more. None of these stocks heading at the right direction.
So no point talking about hidden stocks or good stocks to invest unless people have money ( i meant retailers). I just request from all the people not to invest at CSE thinking of short term gains.

I personally found more lucrative things than stocks so I'm involving with those than stocks. However im still collecting what I fancy to have at a very slow pace.

Yes, if not for some high caps, CTC,NEST,JKH, DIAL etc the real ASI should be around 5000-5200.

Foregin funds and institutions are keeping the turnover higher. Retailers are almost non existent.

After the run from 4700 to 6000, many shares got adjusted too heavily. The above high caps is keeping the index at 5700 while other shares are suffering big time.

As UKboy said , so many retailers are stuck with stocks at much higher prices. Some would have lost 80-90%. People have no cash now. Only when they sell they can release cash to buy something else. So some speculation is also needed to boost the market.

Frankly most of the once inflated/manipulated speculatives have been sold even below their fundamental values . Some share are trading below IPO price after several years. Some share prices are at 2010 level prices while earning and NAV improved.

People were talking about a bubble. People talk about market PE to be 15.4. But frankly 80% of stocks maybe over corrected now and are trading at values below it real worth.

In anycase short term traders will not buy when the market is not moving.

CSE needs to find some new entrants ( cash) to boost CSE.

We hyped CSE to be number 1 in the world. It is sad to see we are at the other extreme now. Amazing how a number 1 can end up nearly worst in the opposite end. We sri lankans are always at extremes.

When the bull market starts, people will chase stock like mad. When we sell we will sell like mad.
