I think to obtain a new finance company licence from CBSL, is required 200 MN.
If you look CIFL Value at Rs.2.30 x 84 MN Nos Shares = Value is Rs.191 MN.
CIFL already having a Finance Licence.
If someone interest to get a licence, One option is buying all shares of CIFL.
Do you think CIFL is worth at Rs.2.30. - 2.50 range?

definite .

I will buy this if it comes to my price. Until i will say dont buy because it has no value.

If CIFL continue another 6 months under these conditions the EPS will be again -3.......So it will take maximum 9 months for NAV to be a minus figure and new management should should pay off the existing high cost deposits as soon as possible. For that they need money.........( US$ 12 )

How they will invest this US$ 12m . It should be a right issue or a agreed loan term deposit. Still no idea ne ?

If it is a right issue or a new share issue what will be the new price.
Rs 1 or 2 may be 3...............or else 5

With all these variable factors i dont invest at the movement for sure. But I may start buying smaller quantities expecting to average it even it hit Rs.50.

yeap! it is same feeling from me....
there are many more other counter to play with... than this....

but that doesn't mean that there is no chance for trading profit from CIFL.. yeah.. there could be such opportunities.... but high risk high profit.... senario..
but it might be like... sleeping dog on the road...
at least better to be away for some time to catch this at very low price... still ....???
Good Luck! Shocked

You need 200m in paid up capital --> just cash at bank.
What is more lucrative is a insurance license or a bank license. For a bank you need 2.5b in paid up capital and for an insurance company it is 1b.

Now it is 300m For finance companies and it is not a cost.........Not a mandatory reserve. Just paid up capital.
The thing is it is very difficult to get a new license from the government. It is like a root permit ..................

Commercial banks 2.5b
Non commercial Banks 1.5b
