Yep Sadunj this is a good pick. Now they have almost the controlling power in the tile mkt. And with the time RCL will diversify it's business in to new ventures. More importantly RCL has the aggressive management quality which is very vital.

yes now TILE , LWL and CERA under RCL . So they have monopoly in tile market. The most important thing is what is their new business model. In future we can know this.

I would consider CARG as well, though highly in debt, it will turn around in time, believe Ranjith Page is a a smart businessman.

for super markets we have to monitor how the new VAT will affect. because all of the not passing this to customers which will erode their margins.

Sadunj, If you are to buy RCL and for 1-2 years don't get into that in a green day.Wait for a Red day(at least for RCL) Even me has this tendency once I have money. Controlling the temptation is a quality that we all should adopt.

RCL is tile sector King now. With the subsiduaries like Rocell Bathware, Ever paint Chemicals-, Lanka wall tiles, Swisstek PLC etc RCL is becoming a integrated construction sector player in coming years.

This is a libaral economy. The RCL aquisition would encorage investors to enter into this business. Therefore in near future another one or two players would enter into this industry and such a situation would not be healthy for this industry to grow as an export industry This is my prediction only.. So in the mid term RCL would not be able to increase it's profit.

firstly this RCL is not mainly a export industry . it is mainly producing for local market according to my knowledge.
Secondly it is not easy to enter new comer to this type of industry. mainly the raw material is not available everywhere. Even if it is ok the existing players would have competitive edge over others in such situation depend on number of reasons. that is my openion

Yes otherthing is Mr.DP has the political backup as well. So I agree with cseguide. They have some foriegn investors also so may be DP will push the price (in shortterm) ... anyhow RCL price will go up with future results. Also today I bought RCL and Im expecting to keep them for future...

Wonder what kind of restructuring they will do.

Still TILE, HOPL, PARQ is under LWL. Under the old management, LWL ran till Rs 190 one time , while RCL ran to only Rs 170.

RCL and LWL NAv are almost the same.

But maybe with a restructure, RCL might be vlaued higher with NAV and earnings.

But will LWL get capital gains from the sales of its holding ???

something to think about ;-)
