RENU hotel earnings have grown. This quarter is almost a true picture of it core business without lot of other income.

It is hard to believe RENU has Rs 160 per share in cash. Even if they lock 1 billion in an FD ( will be lazy to do so as they can get btter returns with money like that), it should bring them Rs 15+ interest earnings.

June quarter will be fun with COMB/DFCC dividends and possible capital gaisn though some sales to RENU/CABO.

You may be approximately right about the NAV, but would you care to elaborate?
How did you arrive at the EPS of Rs 160?!

relatively third rate low class management team who haven't bothered to go with SLFRS (taken the lazy option of going with interim arrangements).
Going with SLRFS would have forced these stingy jokers to mark the investment portfolio to the market rate. shareholders will have to wait for the audited annual report to see the marks (RENU should have a NAV of ~450), but looks like the NAV will be unobtainable for minority shareholders will only see a dividend of Rs 6.
But who knows maybe the management will wake up and as some in the forum would say split coming, split coming?

Running the business like a close family affair sucks. Absolute disregard to minority holding worries...

It is the ICASL who should be blamed and not the company. There shouldn't be an interim arrangement in the first place.

Remember RENU did a short term theft of 300 million+ of shareholder money to set up a related party business in Australia (probably run by a management mistress or a boyfriend or some such).

Holding 1.1 billion in cash without returning value to minority shareholders is an absolute joke inline with the bs done by the likes of Rishan, Baloney and Greggers. Stingyaiah must be using the cash notes as toilet paper. Anybody holding this joke as a LT holding should go to the AGM and ask some questions from mismanagement.

That being said both RENU and CABO have turned into good ST trading shares.

If BALA (which is a black hole for minority shareholders) can manage to do the marks for the March quarter, why can't Stingyaiah do it? Just pure laziness and disinterest.

And agn, if you can't blame the institute, blame the company auditors. Normally the new standards are applied by the auditors of the company and not the company accountant. In SL, A very FEW companies involve their auditors to review the quarterly statements. So the poor accountant will go for the easy step leaving behind the rest of the work to the auditors at year end.

As people mentioned, how the minority holders are treated with especially RENU( due to Rs 160 per share cash) is rather disgusting.

For RENU as jiggy mentioned Rs 6 dividend is a joke to start with. They may increase it to Rs 6.5 or Rs 7 this time!

These shares was almost dead during the past period and now come alive a bit. High time management take notice to treat their minorty holders if they care.

CABO cash in hand now is about Rs 10-11 but it can all change if they get any realize any capital gains in the future.

And some of you act if nothing will never change and there is no possibility also.

If you have info just share directly.
