Pls friends as i can not understant current market, pls tel me is it advisable to buy sotcks and hold the current sotcks in PF.

Piramal Glass can upto 7 - 7.10,
Good Company With Indian Backbone,

Seylan Bank and CDB i suggested based on their financials like PE/NAV......from that point of view it looks attractive.

Last 2 days foreign buy there in seylan X

AEL at this price is very attractive, I m also collecting this share these days.
Reasons - Good long term prospects in construction industry with double digit growth in topline expected for next few years, very low debt profile, very good order book for next 2 to 3 years, one of the main contenders for mega construction projects, good management.
You must be willing to hold this share at least for next 2 years to get real gains, I mean more than 100% gain.

I agree - AEL is one of the best stocks available. It should hit 30 within the next few months

Rain, investors my age like to have some substantial assets to hang on to, especially during volatile fluctuations, it can help cushion the impact when it hits the bottom of a downswing. Since bottom picking is a distasteful activity for me, I always keep an eye on the topline growth and the (yeild) curves, also face value is also not a concern in this assset class.
