Compared to 2011 and 2012 performance CDB is not doing well and there is a enough risk in future as its major exposure to vehicle leasing. Vehicle importers are being slaughted right now whilst  leasing companies are in the menu within 2 years as leasing were given for 4 years, if government keeps their tax high.. Still that is good value counter but no big retailers wanna take risk as it has very high no of shares in ESOP, and also ceylinco group...I also have this share so long, it seems the opportunity cost is very high even bought at reasonable price...

I also agree......the future prospects in the vehicle leasing business is very gloomy right now same as vehicle importing business....
I am also delaying the decision to buy colonial... if it drop below 90 level, i ll buy............................

BBH at the price level of 18 is worthwhile investing since the BV is over 26
operations going to start in this year
Their management is handled by Aitkenspence hotel managment - One of the best hotel management teams in Srilanka which will help BBH to achieve relatively higher occupancy level even at the start of the operations with their strong ties with global tour operators
Entire development is financed by Equity, No debt in their balance sheet, therefore less pressure on bottom line at the start of the business.
More importantly,I personally know about BBH since I worked their prior to the hotel closure in finance department.

Are you with me now??????????Very Happy

However currently I don't hold BBH, but i will buy it if it drop to 18

I don't quote a price instead I ll give you some points to consider,

I expect this share to pick up to some extent after the 1st Qtr results are released, we may expect a good bottom line compared to the last year loss in the same qtr since favorable exchange rate (in April and May 2013) would help them to control their imported material cost
Further there will be minimum impact from the increase in electricity charges since they have their own power generation facilities.
Their high finance expenses will be eased with the expected lending rate drop in the future.
More importantly their Topline will grow at a higher rate with the boom in construction industry and specially with the new projects in North and east.
There had been a change in the perception of the Investors on Tkyo to a favourable side in this year compared to last year.

I hold both Tkyo.X and N for 1 year now. My initial thought was to sell Tkyo.x at 22 level but decided to hold at least for another 1 year since I sense a good performance in this year.

Never trust anybody when it comes to share market........Otherwise you will regret......I never trust my broker, even so called experts in the forum...I only invest after doing my own analysis...You can listen to them but you should take your own decision since it is your money.............

Bad advice .... trust you broker's research manager. They are well educated honest fellows who earn a pittance for their hard work

Also experts on the forum are smarter than you think.....

2012 cdb has given 1rupee, and 2011 2rupees. in 2013 they have given 2.75rs per share as a divident. so please some one explain whether cdb doing well or doing bad compare to 2011 and 2012. im confuse. need experts advice.
