Sri Lanka's interest rates has been decreased to lowest in the year but there is a more probability to go up in very soon .

It has to, actually come down or at least maintain in the current levels to stop the inflation going up. CB has already asked banks to cut down the lending rates..

I have better words to use this thread. Being public make me polite... I think smallville could do better job than comment. Simply delete your account could safe all of our time and useless emotions...

Teller, you need to add some more class to your posts.
On the 18th of June the CB released the list of bonds available

http://www.cbsl.gov.lk/pics_n_docs/07_af_2pdm/_docs/tbfi/AvailTBondSeries.pdf

The maturity date of the first 3 bonds are July, August, September. The maturity value is 200 billion ....

Well do I have to explain more Wink

CBSL issue average of 60bn T_bills per month. 15/7-64 bn is a matter for them? They will issue another bond to pay this off. Since you know about TB maturity you may probably know how SL system works...

I do not think we have to take any action because everybody has made fair judgement on this man's appearing.
Whet he lack is the ability to balance +ve and -ve and infiltrate his -ve ideas to our minds .
Always come with negative minded story , you are exposed and no one will take you seriously.

OK Teller.. I'll give u one more chance to stand up.. At least talk something important and valuable rather than making up stories or at least explain why ur thinking is as such.

On your last trade also I told u to be genuine and if you dont then this forum is not for u.. U better fly to Dubai again and start explaining ur theories to camels..

if interest rates go up, CFVF should go down, sold mine already.

Iam not so sure..... but interest rate may not go up so soon....

it will stay or go further down a bit.... until end of 2013.... [as I think .....just thinking so]

I also think CFVF may have good run in coming time....
but I sold all my CFVF @19 & collect a little @18 and were hoping to collect below 18/- but didn't do it yet...
instead switch to LLUB! and got a bit of CFL!

Smile u know..... I didn't have any clue but just expected CFL will move to 18-20 range... [as it past experiences and small volume of shares in total less than 40million - CFL!]
Smile Smile BUT fortunately there is a dividend declared 0.50cents ....after Friday trading.....!!!

Smallville you are my friend but your economic thinking is not right. When interest rates go down inflation goes up!! Just an observation only. Good luck my friend.

Yes, GM ,the theory says like that.
Sometimes this becomes very confusing.

We have observed , in UK, the government is lowering the interest rate to prevent inflation going up. ( Same here )
In China, the government sometimes increase the interest rate to control high inflation.

I think it depends on many other prevailing factors.

In some countries like Australia, interest rates have fallen sharply over the last 3 decades and so has the inflation rate.

As a layman I can argue when interest rates are high cost of capital goes up thus the prices of products also should go up. .

On the other hand people tend to save more when they get high interest for their savings.

Just some thoughts.
