Dear respected members......I honestly want to ask this question from everybody why all senior members in this forum discourage people not to trade????........when its come to day trading there you don't want to see good fundamental........or any such thing as long as you know about the way this cse being in for last so many years because I am even in the share market for last 5 years.... I was always a day trader not a investor why ??

in sri lanka you can not relay on the CSE or the government because it's a messy place and one man show at the moment.....you can not predict anything I am not saying that is going to be for ever but in this condition no...

I know personally people have lost 7 to 8 digits numbers by investing and also people have burn their fingers by trading not knowing the trading patterns, collecting and the buying price exit price etc... that is why people get burn by trading...

twood is a different scenario I am not saying anything about twood as it is being highest risk taking as well highest profit taking share from the beginning it was highly volatile (like greg family in the very beginning).........when twood was at 149 in 2009....

but my question is why always discouraging members not to trade.....

please don't put me behind bars for asking this by admin....

because there is large numbers of members have lost a lot and no way get them back and no body is not even giving any practical idea how to cover the lost......

please make a comment on behalf of day trading union...cheers...

i'm not good in day trading, but i think admins should allow to discus about day trading also. It is not fair if the forum members only allow to discus about investing. If it is not suitable to these sections, I suggest admin can create another section.

Day trading is very high risk activity.
Currently I am doing massive day trades, because of CSE is now "suudu pitiyak". It is not running with fundamentals. So what to do ?

day trading is also a another way of investing. but its better be online or trading floor for 9:30-2:30 when you do day trading. otherwise you might miss the bus.

The birth of this forum was to discuss and share knowledge on investment criteria, especially related to stock markets. It'd be more specific to emphasize that its CSE that our discussions are based on. Time to time we deviate from this and talk about currency markets, bond, etc.. as well. However, more preference is given to CSE trading/ investing due to higher participation.

We're not against day trading. However, day trading involves a lot of risk taking. It is more suited for serious and experience people in CSE not for amateurs. The more we allow posts like "TWOD will shine today.... TWOD will pass 5 today... TWOD the future winner...." the more the merrier the members will be too. But now use ur heads for a while and think.. think... think....
Is this TWOD a miracle company? NO.. They've just announced their nose-diving and ppl are fishing in troubled waters.. Price fluctuates from 4 to 5 then back to 4 or below and again to 5.. And here, there's no methodology or a clear reason for it go up. It’s just mere speculation and manipulation at its best. Some ppl come to this forum and show members a great TWOD world filled with many promises of uptrend. They ask you to buy at 4.50-5.0 levels cuz its predicted to reach 6-8 in future or in 1-3 days time. They tell yuo cock and bull stories to convince you. And some use amusing strategies "you guys wait and see, this will hit 6 in couple of days.. ha ha haa..." and if any chance TWOD go near 5.5, they come and again tell you "See guys, I told u know? now its 5.5.. soon it will be 6..."

Seriously guys? should we allow Nostradamus to come to our forum and give us stock advice? Can any of you believe if some of these famous astrologists in Sri Lanka tell you "buy XXXX and it will reach YYY"???

Frankly, there's no reason to go behind a crap when fundamentally its useless to even hold. The nature of it being a crap best suits it for a day or swing trading... But can anyone guarantee a price structure? Where it can go, where it rests and where again it heads??? All of you who want to talk about day-trading, inadvertently or not will take this forum to speculation level.. Mind you, speculation is a crime.. It can bring serious problems to those who involve and our forum too.. You guys might remember that the previous home for many of us had to be shut-down due to speculation and unorthodox type of posts which were questionable in every aspect.

I recently saw one post by a member asking the forum whether TWOD is good to hold above 5? Cuz he'd bought it...
So now...more we talk about speculative shares, the more the members get involved with those and burn their fingers..

True.. its your money.. u risk it.. so either you lose it or gain from it... But as a responsible forum, we talk more on investments and balance the posts of day-trading, swing trading opportunities cuz those are more riskier.

Therefore, the question is whether we discuss these litely and let everyone know the opportunities and traps or discuss aggressively and allow the regulators to probe into our affairs.

People misunderstand this . If you know how to control your risk you can day trade.

I think in this forum people try to take advantage by talking crap about crap. Thats what admin trying to have a control on

As most of us admit, frankly if u dont do trading these days, nothing much to gain but we have to give prominence to what Hawk trying to say..

In reality, improved crowd participation, higher demand, volume would mean an interest towards the stock being purchased.
Then with price going up, one or two days price up, then start distribution. That kills the momentum and any anticipated rallies.
Whose fault? Nobody.. Everyone is enjoying small profits, after all - a gain is a gain..
So if the timing is bad, a person might end up joining a "sell" situation.

In this situation, we should cut the losses, means to sell and exit quickly.

Obviously, we can not change the price action of the stock market but one thing we can definitely control is risk.

Losing a little would not mean a thing, it would not hurt you but losing a lot will.

However, some ppl come here promoting crap.. Then some oppose the views since there's no base.

I also trade crap whenever I want... I gain, I fail but its something that I can manage. If I can win at least 60-70% times, that's ok too... Why we dont like to talk much about crap is - we dont want to dump our holdings to members and we dont want to see them whining..

The frequency for day trader to gain something has now reduced to a great extent. There was a time for day traders. You got to have hawks eye to seize an opportunity and be at it all the time during trading time to gain a profit, yet do not see opportunities for weeks. I read a comment by one of the members saying he made a huge profit out of this (TW) stock as he has observed previously when there is a court case share price goes up and so forth. That is due to his own research and analysis and his way of thinking. I do not see any wrong in that because he has undertaken the risk and gained based on his thinking. But no one can advise whether a this kind of share will go up or down at this stage (As smallville mentioned) because it is in the hands of few invisibles (big guns) who are capable of making such a change and also it is not ethical to give such an advise in a public forum like this. I am typing this with experience (not an expert in share trading or investing ) on day trading and do not want to see some one going through same phases I have gone through to lose lots of your money. Hence you got to be extremely careful when day trading with your hard earned money as opportunities are minimal.

looking at all the comment members have made one thing is obvious that now a days trading opportunities are very low at the moment and have to do trading with crap I agreed....and members to know I don't hold any of twood at the moment as this price is too high to even trade for me....cheers....but if there a any fair opportunity with some positive action by the company I will control the risk with my strategy and would trade again.....not a promotion but I honestly said what I would do to recover my lost in the past.....cheers....at smallville again and hawkeye and pushpakumara.....cheers

When u deal with crap, u cant take ur eye of the screen for even 5 minutes.. Recently I lost 500x2 rupees (2 occasions) from TWOD trading since I bought in the morning and went out for some work and lost the opportunity to sell it with 0.50 rupee profit..
mind u.. It didnt take even 1 hr for TWOD to lose 0.50 and my mistake was I didnt put a sell order before I go.. See.. this is behaving an extremely difficult way to understand. intraday Charts would give u good buy points, but for selling, u need to take ur own decisions as when the Sell signal comes in the chart, it may be delayed as in most cases.

All the news out ne? so what we waiting for now? 200Mn inject?

Millions cant save TWOD, you need billions.

Trading figures(trades/TO/Qty) seems getting reduced, so its a sign of reversal?

Due to reduction of rates, there is good counters to keep eye on, im into BFI.

Marki is correct.. TWOD needs billions to be saved and pay off the whining investors.. And that would take years..

At this stage its risky to enter.. But there are plenty of other shares with low risk.. I think PLC, COCR, TJL are better choices.. Even CTBL & ASIY, HPFL are much better as pennies..

Seems like only very few want to sell around 4.80......
May be some one trying to keep it for a while at 4.80

As inexperienced may tell u, this didn hold the ground at 4.8. Goin below 4.30 or 3.70 would not be good either..

However, as far as cross-overs consider, this looks like below;
14 Day MA / 50 Day MA - BUY
14 Day MA / 100 Day MA - BUY?
SAR - BUY
MACD - likely to give a SELL
RSI - Neutral
ADX - Neutral
