Politicos are silent as they have connection with these crooks, most of them are introduced by them or their relatives. No wonder we can see lots in future.
Now look at the current trend in politics. Who is coming to politics for manage, controle this country. Most of actor/actress, sons/daughter/relation's of current regime, new businessmens ( for hide their taxes) etc. These type of peoples are coming to manage/ controle our regional council, Mounciple council, Provincal council, parliament & finally one day they will become a leader of the country. Just look at their qualification (Not a paper qualification). Can they manage us ? Can they advice us? Can they manage people's problem. Do they know what is 13 amendments, Sri lankan constitution ? Overseas affairs ? But definitely they will win the election & become a Hon.ministers. Recently I saw another star entered to Southern province from UNP. "Elakiri & Thakata thaka". I'll not telling any more as this is public form. But " Mage bada dagalanawa mews dakkama"
Now we can not see leaders like past (Recent past JR, Premadasa, Lalit, Gamini) In future we could not see leaders like present (Mahinda, Ranil, Karu, Maithripala, Sajith etc). But some of actors/actress, crooks, 2nd class businessmans will lead us, our villages, towns, provinces & Country.
What a sad ?
Food for thought
"The world suffers a lot. Not because of the violence of bad people, but because of the silence of good people!"
- Napoleon Bonaparte
“One of the penalties of refusing to participate in politics is that you end up being governed by your inferiors.”
No argument. Theoretically 100% agree with you RB.
But practically not. As you & me know, Present world has changed lot, not like Bonaparte's or Plato's time. These "Silent people's " are not fools. But they know if they enter these process, what will be the end result.
Just think how can they sit for a discussion with these type actor/actress ministers (Like P-ba) for how to develop our child education system, how to minimise ethnic differences in north & east, how to reduce unemployment rate etc. The discussion will be end with joke.
I'm believing that is why these "silent" people are still silent. Sometimes most of them are living or leaving to abroad. This is the reality. We know people do not like this method/system. But what can we do ? Balot paper is not a average people's weapon anymore.
