Hi Fellow Forumers,

As most of you may know by now my current portfolio consists of LIOC, ALUF, GHLL, BLUE X I sold PLC after payment of dividend. I'm in the process of Investing a further 1 million on Monday. Please give me five good shares (with reasons) preferably counters that are under valued or have room to grow. I'm interested in the following , please try to mention shares other than the ones I have stated.

LIOC : thinking of buying more at this range and increasing the number I have presently. Reason expected stellar growth and global oil prices steady.

VONE: simply on speculation and the fact that it hasn't moved up.

Looking at : Tkyo, Com Bank and HNB x

Your input will be greatly appreciated

Thank you.

Check prices on Soybean and maize price in world market and the trend.
Check latest Q results of BFL, GRAN and TAFL.
Check the trend of per capita income, inflation and disposable income. (Hope you know the co-relation with chicken consumption).
Read the chairman's statement in annual report of BFL, GRAN and TAFL and identify the risk factors and latest developments.
Check the recent events in 'Divi Naguma' program related to poultry industry.

I'm at a process of selling off most of my shares ..

If you are planning to buy new shares with new money. Then my short term advise is to go very short term. You need to have a "Gaththa dunna" attitude at the moment.

Country will face a couple of difficult hurdles between March-July. Except those, to be honest, things looks manageable.

Gods not really speculation ...but history has shown that when DP shares move Vone too joins the rally. we saw vfin stirring up a bit if this continues then LfIN, and then the others. Vone too should move but hard to say simplye due to the fact that DP shares aren't moving as expected.

Go for fundamentally strong, well managed companies which are trading below sector PE.

Dont buy junk.

Out of your list I like LIOC and TKYO the best because they are trading below sector PE amd market PE - you should buy them soon before the quarterly results are out. If EPS have increased significantly, they may run. I expect quarterly reports to be out this week

TJL is a good long term share and so is KAPI. SHL seems to be on a run with Ashok Pathirage also collecting even at 11 levels (according to Dealings by directors publication on CSE website).

During last March human right scare, ASI dropped about 200 points. But that was after a 500 point uptrend ( so you can say it is correction or profit taking or whatever) then it went up 900 points!!

I thought there was some progress made in this human right issues ( though never perfect). As I said before( see below) I was expecting the ASI to go between 6300-6500. If is happens , and even inf Human right scare helps the market to drop, how much can it drop? After that ...?

I guess, it all depends on the holding power , goals and mentatity .

"This trend needs to continue upto about 6300-6500 taking small breaks in the middle ( so don't panic for red days). There will be resistance at around 6200 I presume if not sooner next week. We don't want to fall into a psyc trap as mentioned in the above thread if you read. If most hold their positions , prices of shares are only going to go up. This short term selling "cycle" needs to break for all to see better times at CSE. Did you see what happened at UAE and JAPAN last year. Dubai might not forget 2013 in a hurry ."

Sorry didnt want to demotivate anyone. I may be wrong. I have already cleared about 35% of my pf and plan to sell up to 70%.
As I said earlier im not too comfortable with Geneva issue plus the election in India.
Wouldnt mind to pay upto 20% premium if things will not change alot after March. It wont be positive but at least something not too bad

Ex. I would buy comb at 150 then rather 130 now.

You know it's always better not to be too greedy. Smile

However this is not the time to completely forget about the market. Am still collecting some.

Long term. Hold
Mid term. Sell/not buy.
Short term. Buy with 10% stop loss.

I dont think Geneva is not a big issue in this time. Sri lankan government should listen to US then everything is over. why we are try to against with US,UK and other countries.

please stop Pora talks. we have to understand our limits. otherwise we will face big problem within next two, three years.
