I actually refer to customer service they provide. I opened up an savings account for my baby and I was highly impressed by their attention & care. The officer who attended to my work was looking for other accounts with me and talked nice things about their new big boss Mr.Thiyagraj.
I think NDB is in to commercial banking in big time.
Currently I don't have any NDB share but hope they will do very well.

I see other way around
I'm NDB customer and not satisfy with their way of business.
For ex:
I have experienced late communication for online questions, sometimes depends on my question complexity they tend to ignore it!
their floating interest is insane. We get floating rate loans taking a risk because it was keep below fixed rate. But NDB dint gave this opportunity to floating rate customers when loan rates came down. they break all ethics and keeping floating rate higher than fixed by 2%. It's shame!
I'm sure they will don't get any returning customer. loans was a considerable business to NDB.
their long service period is a plus.
but the way they make profit is not ethical. there might be same like incidents associated with NDB.
In my side, i don't involve with NDB in future for any business. there are more banks in SL which provide more customer care than NDB do.

They will show progress in short term, but loosing customers trustworthy may lead downfall to any bank in long term.

I wish to figure out that-
1. inefficient customers' care displayed by one or few staff members brings the bad image for the entire organisation. It happens everywhere.
2. it is personally noticed customer relationship management (CRM) is being improved since recent past. Staff training & development for hands on job is vital.
Few of my personal experiences-
Sought the assistance from leading communication network for the incompatibility of the dongle in upgrading windows from 8 to 8.1, I never got the proper answer.
Sought assistance from local help desk of giant operating system provider in the world, having the warranty cover of the product being used but no response.
Sought assistance from leading notebook agent here for upgrading the specific RAM, no help at all.

It is obvious that customers/end users are bored with varying issues. In general, I feel that private sector is getting better in rendering the customers requirements.

exactly kalum. i also feel like that. they didn't reduce the floating rate of loans. but when loan rate increase they suddenly increase loan rates. i also never involve in anything with NDB. they have done this mistake to several groups of professionals in the country. most of them now even don't ask from a loan from NDB. bt different story in cse according to the profit they have.

Yes. They were able to report good results. but behind that how much they were focus to retain customers is the matter. i dont say since I have decided not to banking with NDB means lot to them Very Happy but if what if they are repeatedly continue bad habits? will customers tolerate it when there are number of leading private banks in the industry?

Anyways no argument. NDB will be a good share to invest. They may have growth plans. but they absolutely need to focus on honest banking than they are now.  Exclamation

Companies that claim to have the best customer service in Sri lanka have the most atrocious service on certain days. it's to do with a lot of HR issues.

Other than that i would pump some money in to NDB and go to sleep peacefully without batting an eye lid.
