I too now thinking bit seriously to buy some shares by small lots per each month from a selected set of shares with long term.....

Four things are IMPORTANT in making the decision.... as i feel...

1. selecting of COUNTERS
2. selecting range of PRICE to collect
3. selecting the TIME of buying [might go with number 2]
4. deciding the QUANTITY of buying based on CASH availability

need to see some GAIN from this GAME.....
otherwise just only FUN is not enough though i can reduce loss by time to time... king  study

I don't know much about this particular company /share price movement.
But, somewhat skeptical about selecting a finance company for- 3 yr investment.

Just look at the Industry,

# operating in the high risk end of the business clientele
# over 50 companies , competing (cut throat ?) aggressively for market share
# Established banks also have entered their business segment and attracting good clients, leaving the high risk segment to finance companies
# If a "bank run" on one company, that will affect all other companies as well.
# Their business may be thriving in a low interest rate regime, but when the rates rises, sometimes abnormally, most are in big trouble.
# Except few, most are not having consistent ownership structure. Susceptible to questionable deals, takeovers.
# Industry is in a mess with this merger hype! No body knows what is happening, Surely few insiders, deal makers will benefit at the expense of large majority

They say, to look at the Industry, before selecting a particular stock,

Good answer,Yes I agree with the competitiveness part, but it is common for every industry.
Other points except the MERGER thing is common for every sector.
In your openion what is the good industry ?
