Balanced Opinions/Views from Sri Lanka Equity Forum

Sri Lanka Equity Forum would thrive to provide balanced opinion with regard to the market situation and condition. No moderator or administrator will try to predict the direction of the market or try to persuade other investors to invest based on his or her opinion of the market. Sri Lanka Equity Forum will tolerate both negative and positive opinions of our members with equal merit and respect.

P.S: Market sentiment is a collection of positive and negative sentiments of everyone, it is not just biased, fabricated or ones preconceived opinion. Therefore as a forum we should give prominence to both negative and positive posts. That is the only way that we could give balance opinion to the members. If someone try only to create positive opinions by shooting down all negative posts in the forum, then he/she could be misleading the membership with his or her own pre conceived opinion. None of us know the direction of the market. If we knew, we wouldn't be sitting behind a a computer, we would rather be holidaying in Bahamas in Yacht with lots of Champaign.

Both admins & many moderators (surely no me) spent countless hours to bring this forum where at the moment.
But you did nt inform at least admins when you sold the site to someone else.

Careful with a name like Redbulls you can be construed as being only positive. In light of the new direction best you change your name to RedBearorBull. I'm thinking of changing my name to ASI4,800.

3)   The forum mentality is down, some people are scared right now,  some soothsayers are predicting market can hit 4800  again without giving reasons.  

What market lacks is confidence more than anything than fundamentals. When ASI was 7800 it was one story. Now it is another.

Present market  if you looking at forward earnings , ie, bloomberg, and some broker stats, it is trading around PE of 11. Some companies are trading at 0.5 NAV and PE of 5.
 
What we need is morale boosting stuff  right now  to encourage true investment at CSE and teach new comers to learn patience as investment takes time.

I believe the  market probably will exceed 6618 this year itself  (I could be wrong) but  i gave the reasons  which I wrote in lengthy  articles in the forum  ( if you search) .

This question have nothing personal as I even don;t know you.  But I did not appreciate the  timing and the posting without reason which  gives rise to unnecessary speculation  ( which I did also) and worry.  

Hope it is clear why  I asked.

For us to make money the market should perform well for that mentality of people should be sound. Experience people should give hope so that there is no over reaction to macro factors etc.

I see this as a personal attack on Slstock for questioning this new GMnet on a previous thread. Nothing more than that.

I See Slstock and some other done lot of work for the forum for free and now when the new owners try to be like king Arthur people will not keep mum. Unprofessional conduct to say the least.

My balance view:
It's ok to have positive or negative posts as long as it come with proper clarification. There should be quality and credibility in a reputed forum.

I am disappointing with current argument here.

I like both owners and admins take collaborative decision and act in a diplomatic way.

I'm against if SLS get banned just because of above conversation. there should be proper way of visibility.

forum without quality, credibility, visibility, visionary, fun , good advice's is lack of motivation to members.

probably i said most things i want to comprehend. I'll also be silent till get things get in to good direction.

I follow this forum since 2011 and leant a lot from these senior members who are doing a great service here.
But unfortunately the little time that I’m writing this we lost two of them which I greatly admired.

Wonderful we must have full equality of the law and the law must be enforced with an iron fist. I think GMnet is the man for the job.
